Agree. What irritates me about WOA is the marriage is very heartless and it feels like they don’t have any feelings at all unlike HM Wonderful Life. Hope this one, they can improve on that part tbh

Thats because the real "harvest moon" is called story of seasons, the current games titled "harvest moon" are from when the company split from its us publisher to publish the game themselfs and then natsume decided to use the ip name harvestmoon and try to trick players into buying a cheap and heartless fake.​@AmeenSaifulazri

@thedragon12 Oh not this spiel again... Yes, I am well aware. Don't gatekeep my enjoyment of these games please. The way I see it, the Natsume-Marvelous split was a good thing, especially now that Natsume has finally found a formula that works for their series. I see Harvest Moon as its own series, separate from Marvelous's Story of Seasons. Let me tell you this - I have both SOS AWL and HM WoA on my Switch. Guess how much playtime I have on each game? I thought I'd get more mileage out of the remake of A Wonderful Life, but I actually got way more milage out of Winds of Anthos, which was my second most played game on Switch last year behind Pokemon Violet, according to my personal yearly report on Nintendo's Website. I was playing it nonstop and now whenever I decide to load it up I end up playing for hours. Meanwhile, in Story of Seasons I only barely got past the first year and then stopped. Natsume won that war IMO. WoA is in the triple digits in terms of playtime on my console. I haven't loaded up SoS since last year.

@thedragon12 Oh I was the target audience, alright - A Wonderful Life remake was one of my most hyped games of the year and then Natsume's game came after I got my hands on the remake and blew me away with how much of a jump it was from One World. The ever so cynical internet didn't phase me, I knew that WoA was the game that would finally validate the split and what do you know, it's a wonderful, beautiful game with a ton to see, do, and work towards. The gameplay loop of WoA absolutely trumped any of the older SOS games in my eyes for the most part, even making one of my favorites, HM64, hard for me to go back to on NSO. WoA seemed like an evolution of what I loved from both series in all the best ways.

I don't see why, especially now, both series can't coexist, thrive, and grow. Harvest Moon as its own self contained series is now in a much better spot than it was in 2015 and the bar for quality has been raised. WoA was Harvest Moon's "Legends Arceus Moment", a phrase I coined for games that break through the stagnation of their series. I can safely say that now that Natsume finally got it right, I'm on team Harvest Moon from here on out. SOS just isn't for me anymore, unless they remake another one of my favorites. Love Rune Factory still though. 🙂 SOS will have to do something similarly drastic as WoA to get my attention for a new entry, and it looks like they are attempting to one-up Winds of Anthos from what I've seen. We will have to see though!

no because it's not theirs lol Back to nature is Story of Seasons. (Marvelous lost the rights to the english names "Harvest Moon" in the 2010s so now their games are called Story of Seasons but remains Bokujo Monogatari in japanese.)

Honestly I'd like a real mainline Harvest Moon OR Story of Seasons to be like Doraemon. I actually liked the game and it's relationship/cutscene-based gameplay but think it suffered greatly by being a crossover game.
