Harvest of Home Grown Potatoes in Grow Bags

This is a follow up to my video several months ago on how to grow potatoes at home in grow bags. In this video I will show you the results of my potato harvest. Give it a try, it is so easy to grow potatoes at home and it is fund for the entire family!

I used store bought russet potatoes, cut eyes off and planted two rows of 6 . Planted mid January, and already harvesting potatoes now. Very great to grow fresh!

I moved last year into a condo from a house and boy do I miss gardening. I have my balcony full of tomato plants, herbs, peppers, cucumbers, and potatoes. So far, it has not been successful with the tomatoes or pepper. The potatoes are coming along great but I don't know what is in the soil. I will find out soon, maybe in a few weeks. I sure hope I get this sorted and can grow on that balcony. Thanks for posting.

Good luck. Usually the multiple of seed potato to potatoes is 3 or 4 to 1.

When should I start potatoes in a zone 9 area?

I would say Sept 1st, because your winters are mild.
