Thank you Dima!!! About this new Russian rocket, Oreshnik - "Hazel nut". Technically, it is a special new achievement of Russian engineers, and from the last official statements of the Russians, it is a new series of missiles, not an old, modernized series. This means, automatically, new derivatives, new development possibilities and so on. But the most interesting thing is that the Russians have already announced new launches and tests of this new range of missiles, which means that those are cheap to produce. On the other hand, from the opposite side, the official one, which matters, is a grave silence. The only thing officially said is the emergency meeting of the NATO countries on November 26 to discuss this new direction in which this conflict is heading. Medicines for liver pain are already being bought !!!! As usual, the most embarrassing in this equation was The Expired, which today asked the American "partners" to deliver the THAAD anti-ballistic systems !!! To summarize, politically and militarily, it is very bad that it has come to this, we are a few meters away from ... the final judgment and with all this, there are people who tell me that I should be worried about my carbon footprint !!!!!! At the end, a little joke about this event : two Patriot systems, located near Dnipro, were discussing, and at one point, one asked: What the hell was that???

We practically never talk about it (99% of the time) that kyiv was preparing to launch the Ukrainian army against the population of Donbass massively 3 weeks before the decision of the entry of Russian troops on Ukrainian soil. What definitively decided the Kremlin was the effective order of Zelensky 2 weeks before, so the Kiev army was in attack order and advanced massively towards Donbass for 2 weeks before the emergency and announced by Putin to carry out a (what was initially) special military operation! It is good to know this with on top of everything that happened before Minsk, since 2014, since Putin's speech in Munich and before that the extensions of NATO. There would have even been Western manipulations so that the depressive (and therefore accentuation of his alcoholism) so that Yeltsin would be re-elected and that suited NATO well. Realizing this, they made sure (the Russians) that Putin would take things in hand, but even with all the hands extended by him and his predecessors to even ask to join NATO with a view to détente ... In vain! Enough is enough! And again the sending of a so-called ballistic missile, it was almost as if they had fired blanks! The message, BEWARE! Next time it might not be nuclear, but the same quantity with more than 10,000 tons per head, NATO style, ... They are holding back! WATCH OUT! Who is paying? The Slavic Russo-Ukrainian peoples.... And more than that, the Americans had plans for attacking the USSR, including making contacts with Grand Admiral Doenitz to have him surrender to the Western allies and immediately turn German Army on the Western Front towards the East to attack the Soviets with full support of the Western allies. The hypersonics Russia unleashed on Ukraine only had blanks replacing the warheads (reason why no firecloud after a conventional bomb like FAB-1500 or 3000). There was no need to include Conventional or Tactical nuke warheads to make the point everyone in the West have underestimated Russia. As Russia has said a couple times over the last 2yrs, we wouldn't need to go to the nuclear option, we are quite capable of eliminating the threat in Ukraine and NATO all with our Conventional munitions (ie conventional warheads on the MRBM (Medium Range Ballistic Missiles). Imagine similar Conventional warheads equal to FAB-5000 on each of the missiles landing recently in Dnipro. Russia's Conventional solution is as powerful as the 1945 nukes the US used against Japan without the issue of radiation threats. Russia will use Conventional next door (in Ukraine) because who wants radiation threats to their own people, especially when they can do equivalent enemy outcomes directly with conventional. And the fable of Russia wanting to conquer Europe after THEY destroyed the German/Ukraine Nazi threat but got scared off by the two nukes dropped on Japan is just the West trying to rewrite history. The USSR was an Ally against the German threat, Russia did it sacrificing over 27 million of their people to destroy the Nazi threat. Even while they were a Communist nation they still wanted to get along with the rest of the world. It's the paranoia of the US and the West that has made Russia 'the persistent enemy', when all Russia wanted to do was to become a partner and just get along. The US, because of their Military Industrial Complex needed an ongoing 'enemy' and Russia was labelled that. The nukes the US dropped on Japan over the 3 days was a marketing campaign by the US (nothing more, as the initial Surrender by Japan Had Already Taken Place before the Nukes were dropped). The US has been driven by lies for decades and their empire is on the verge of collapsing completely. Biden is just helping it along.

Just today, at one of the old party election advertising stands, a man told me exactly that when I said that the party he was promoting was unelectable (the German coalition had disintegrated, as you probably know). That he assumed that once Russia had won the war against Ukraine, they would set out to conquer the rest of Europe. Sometimes I can't believe how little people are able to inform themselves and think. We have adopted and cultivated this Russophobia here in Germany. People are not wanting to believe the Russians' security interests. If the Russians were to allow themselves military bases in Peru or Argentina, the USA would definitely see this as a threat to their security interests. I don't understand us Europeans. We have no say in either nation and will be the first to be attacked if further missile launches are authorised by European leaders. Perhaps the Hypersonic missile deployment was enough of a deterrent and the USA is now also keeping its feet still. I have hope, but it is very scary. I fear that they do not understand the situation accurately.

Those warheads went through 50 metres of reinforced concrete like melted butter. These were sheathed inside a plasma envelope of atmosphere superheated to over 4000°C. I remember an experiment in Chemistry where we isolated aluminium from Al²O³, inside a charcoal block, by oxidising a Bunsen flame. The presenter is absolutely correct to state America stands at a place akin to the Japanese, post-Hiroshima: confronted by a weapon orders of magnitude greater than they currently possess. It must be a chastening atmosphere in the now-obsolete Pentagon bunkers, affording no greater protection than that at Yuvmash.

@@andrewkuc5861 Well, the temperature of the plasma can be estimated from its colour. The Iranian hypersonic missiles that hit the Israeli air-force base a month or two back glowed red, which would put them at about 4000 degrees Kelvin, if we can assume that the light can be treated as black-body radiation. The plasma of the Oreshnik looked pretty pure white, which would make it roughly a thousand degrees hotter.

Your comment regarding the use of atomic bombs against Japan is right. The attack on Japan was not to reduce US casualties but to show the world the weapon of destruction they possessed. It's important to note that the US dropped two bombs on Cities resulting in massive death and destruction. The Japanese were treating and the Emperor was ready to surrender as he didn't want to Soviet Army to invade Japan. He was scared that the Soviets would remove the Imperial Hierarchy from Japan. As for your assumption that the Soviets were going to move west I don't agree further the only reason that there was peace and stability was the fact the Soviets had a bomb as well. At the of WW2 General Paton was urging and advocating that the west should wage war on the Soviets this didn't happen why? As I mentioned earlier the Soviets had one as well. The US dropped a bomb on a retreating Army who's leader was going to surrender anyway. They they dropped the bombs for Political reasons to assert themselves as a power not be screwed with and then twisting the narrative to suit themselves as they always have! Your comment at 5:10ish about the use of the first atomic weapon is incorrect. The USSR was not planning to invade western Europe before it was used, and was already demobilizing many troops after VE day. The bomb was used by the US to test its capabilities on a civilian population and to ensure they could get more territory in Asia. GDF has a few good videos about how the use of the bomb wasn't required, and Japan likely would have surrendered soon regardless.
@YThome7Күн бұрын
Absolutely correct. there are declassified US documents about the process of selecting Herosima and Nagasaki out of 8-9 potential targets. Soviet Political leadership had no plans of advancing Westward, Stalin knew that the Soviet Union was extremely weakened by the war. If some Soviet generals had some phantasies, it doesn't amount to "Soviet plans", any general at any given time must have a plan to attack any hypothetical target, if ordered. But Western leadership probably had somewhat different thoughts, for example Gen Paton was said suggested attacking Soviets. However, his political leadership, Truman, had different opinion, the Fulton speech had not been yet delivered, and the Cold War had not started yet.

Grey dust swirls... Poland was not even able to stop its own supply shipments for the Bandera supporters, so, to paraphrase a classic Polish popular song: where would it get so much strength to find its place? If the Marshal of the Sejm were to concentrate all his patriotic powers, he could, for example, put on a tie with Vladimir Putin's image on it, and then attempt to trample him into the ground, without first taking the tie off neck, of course. Minister Sikorski, on the other hand, would probably be able to give an interview to Ms. Olejnik with a chocolate in his mouth in such a way that none of the viewers would know whether the minister is sucking tiki taka chocolate or a goody chocolate chestnut. I also believe that President Duda would be able to jump over himself on skis, even with a Polish flag in his teeth. The question is: why don't Polish patriots employed by the nation to serve in Washington's interests do all these fantastic things? The point is not to make any political conclusions from this, but to quote another classic of Polish enlightened thought: let Poland be Poland. Let's say that Poland is already the best possible version of itself. This is a thought that may cause some momentary anxiety. However, even the greatest skeptics cannot guarantee today that Poland has not already reached that mythical stage and can now only be the Poland of dreams and hopes, at most capable of inspiring stage performances. Inshallah! If God wills, even the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs will not have a chocolate fall out of his mouth during an interview. One should not speak with his mouth full, but the Polish political class does not let Poland leave off their mouth, and this is simply distasteful. Like Ukrainians, Poles are briskly heading to the point of no return, when they will be better off without Poland, just like Ukrainians who have found shelter from the effects of their own government's actions abroad, far from Ukraine, or possibly only in their own grave. The graveyard variety of patriotism has the additional advantage of not involving any representatives of the political class. Great Britain is flexing its imaginary muscles, assuring thru its officers that it will defend Europe against Russian invasion. London is not able to defend itself today even against the nonsense uttered by the British Prime Minister, who would be willing to trade his office for a few concert tickets. The British army is just over 70 thousand men. In order to be able to field an equipped contingent of ten thousand men and keep it on the front line for even a few days, there must be at least twenty thousand well-equipped, trained and motivated soldiers of the logistical forces operating in the rear, and they also have to be taken care of. Therefore, if the weather cooperates, the British can at most organize a parade along the British coast of the English Channel, which would still greatly strain their capabilities. The Poles were already bound by a military alliance with Great Britain, but despite the swift Polish defeat in 1939, it was the Poles, among others, who bolstered the British army, contributing to the victory of the Royal Air Force in the air battle for Britain, when its future seemed to hang in the balance. Well, no one can promise you as much as a Briton intoxicated by the fantasy of empire, hiding behind the back of the Uncle Sam. That is why when I hear that the government in London is ready to defend Europe, I have the disturbing impression that only the Ministry of Silly Walks is operating in Downing Street. Today, the situation is taking such a turn that the only force capable of saving Europe from self-destruction caused by the madness of Western elites is common sense and the gracious restraint of the Russian government. Hungarians and Slovaks understand this. Even Germans are slowly finding the remnants of reason. In Warsaw and London, the authorities are competing to see who can blow more colorful soap bubbles.

The US and UK do not tell Ukraine to stop using the Storm Shadows and ATACAMS. There is no need to use stern words because even the sternest words can be disobeyed. To secure the absolute obedience, the US simply does not provide planning, guiding, and targeting, and that's it. Ukrainians are only physical operators for the weapons, the actual (essential) operators are the US and UK. 1) Oreshnik IS NOT an ICBM; Oreshnik is an intermediate-range missile. This entire class of weapons was regulated into the non-existence by the INF Treaty which was signed in 1987 and dismantled by Trump (and Pompeo) in 2019. Is this the same Trump who now wants to be the peacemaker, you may ask. Yes, physically we are talking about the same guy, but has he learned anything in the last few years? I madly hope Trump has lately learned something about the global power politics, but I retain very strong reservations. 2) At the end of the WW2, the Soviets did not have ANY serious thoughts nor plans to continue westward against their allys while the British did consider a war with the USSR (Operation Unthinkable).

"Trees" are missiles (not necessarily ICBMs). "Poplar", "Beech", "Pine", "Chestnut", "Palm". "Stones" - anti-ship missiles. "Granite", "Amethyst", "Malachite", "Basalt", "Onyx", "Zircon". "Geometric figures" - air defense systems. "Square", "Circle", "Cube", "Torus".

I don’t know what kind of “historians” Dima listens to, but it’s actually pretty certain THE BRITISH wanted to break the alliance with the USSR and attack it after Hitler was taken down. The documents have been made available. They were basically told “no” by the Americans, so it came to nothing. As for the atomic bombs, those were shot for a number of reasons, but mainly to stop the Russians from invading Japan (they had just declared war with it… 99% of Second World War Japan and the USSR were not at war actually) and claim at least a part of it into their zone of influence (the Soviets still got the Kurili Islands though)

Wrong -- U.S. dropping the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was NOT to hasten the war's end. The U.S. had rebuffed or at least ignored peace overtures by Japan, which knew it had lost the war, through its embassy in Moscow (Japan and the Soviet Union were not yet at war) because it wanted to drop the atomic bombs as a demonstration to Moscow and de facto announcement that the Cold War was about to begin.
