From what I understand, this entire war started because Russia wanted Naval Crimea back (Krushtiev gave it to Ukraine), and three eastern Russian Speaking Provinces (Eastern Donbas) wanted re-unification with Russia. Also, Russia did not want NATO to Occupy the Donbas, so, keep Ukraine out of NATO… I understand that if Ukraine uses the ‘Peacekeepers’ into Russia, Russia May Retaliate on NATO… 🤷‍♂️✨

Back in July 2022, or after the fall of Lisychansk, y'all thought Seversk would fall in 3 weeks. But the Russian military took a 30 day holiday to swim victory laps in the Pacific Ocean (far Russian East Coast). After that the window to take Seversk was lost. Indeed one season after that all of Kupyansk was lost. So today even a rumor that Seversk might be taken gets y'all excited and you eagerly update your maps with glee. I said it in August 2022: "First the hills west of Seversk must be taken." So if and when the RUAF show their flags flying there, then I'll agree Seversk will soon be taken. Going into Seversk without first securing the hills west of Seversk would be suicide. I remember around that time someone chastised me and said "the high ground doesn't matter anymore". Well these days more and more bloggers are talking about the high ground. It was true traditionally so why shouldn't it be true in modern times?
