This video got me started on Harvestella. 100 hours later, I just have to say thank you. I loved it. Gonna miss my lovely Harvestella crew. Some of the side quests had me in tears. A game with a big, big heart. Thanks for turning me on to it!

I had this game in my amazon basket for like a year, debating on getting it, back then watched your video but it just wasnt a right price yet since i rarely buy games full price or brand new anyways, in combination with so many reviews being negative... More reviews started showing up and i saw it was now discounted to 26euro, rewatched a few reviews and this one again and yours made me bite the bullet and give the game a shot. I like farming in the game stardew valley but i dont want to play other farming games since it starts feeling like your doing the same thing spread out over multiple games and turns into wasting my time, but you talking about the story and their are towns etc.etc. got me interested. Great review! I was curious to how you would like it and what you would think of it. Atmosphere so enchanting and chill, cool story, I mean it is published by Squeenix but felt like one of their more old school rpgs. I think the developer was the same one that made Ender Lillies too so that is neat. Went off the beaten bath and gave this one a try. I think I was curious about it and then Brandon saying great things about it pushed me to give it a try. I really do not do farming games either. There is games I will spend loads of time on like some open world games. I feel like farming is a sim though so I can spend as much time as I want it and not move forward as much or have a goal, I dunno. Yeah it was minor in this one but I still had some fun planting my garden and raising animals on the farm somewhat lol. The story was way deeper and complex but like you said it had that mysterious backdrop and going ons that had me interested. That last boss hit hard and gave me a run around the field. It was no pushover on some of those battles.

Omg, definitely some HARD boss battles for sure. I tried to always be the perfect level and I was okay but definitely some I had to try a few times!

Definitely had my eye on this game since i first saw it in the nintendo direct. Reminds me of the rune factory games and bravely default. so i was happy when you mentioned the art design for this game! I'll be getting it a bit later so the price goes down a bit. still playing some other games atm.

I played it when it first came out for two reasons, the farmingness and the SQEXness. It is everything I ever hoped it would be! I got to level up a crap ton and farm!

65 hours later, I finally finished this game! It was a really good solid game. The art design, characters and story were all amazing! I loved doing the character side stories to get to know them better (especially Brakka hehe). The story was great but I definitely felt it drag out by the end and was getting tired of the endless dialogue with no voice acting, the long boss fights, and repetitive dungeons. I was having so much trouble with the final boss, I literally considered giving up at the end I was so frustrated. But then I made enough smoothies and I was fine! I’m really glad I finished it, and overall I really enjoyed it. I’m surprised how deep the story went, and it was actually really interesting to have those dystopian elements, and relevant topics to the real world!

I'm so excited for Harvestella, but I don't have a Switch and I'd prefer playing this from the couch. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Playstation release. I'm hoping that maybe they'll port it a year after release. If not, I'll have to get it on PC at some point.

I definitely recommend getting a Switch anyway and then just playing it docked but I get that!!!

love your reviews as always!! i'm only about 40 hours into harvestella (and only on chapter 4 or 5) but so far it is my favourite game i've played this year, and i'm so glad you enjoyed it as well! i also had similar concerns about the farming and the time constraint elements but i really found the way this game worked made those aspects so non-tedious for me

@@femtrooper I’m glad you think so too! I was hesitant about it as well in the beginning cuz of the farming aspect then realized it was barely part of the game and I absolutely loved it. Lol Beautiful scenery, a charming cast, a good story, and good music. That’s what I look for in a jrpg and this one hit every spot 🖤
