I,ve seen dragon fruit grow like a vine , my niece planted the young dragon vine close to the coconut tree as the vine growing it slowly climbing thr coconut tree too so it's possible these dragon vine have climbed nicely growing covering the rocks. Is that make sense?

Absolutely. The yellow dragon fruit is the queen of dragon fruits. Triple the price of the red ones though. There are the red dragon fruits with red meat. Those are not bad but still less sweet than the yellow ones.
