In This vlog Josese and I went to our cassava farm in the afternoon to harvest cassava for the village funeral. In the morning we harvested Taros but we need cassava too as many guests will attend the village funeral.
Later that afternoon our extended family from Nasesara Village came to pay their respect (Reguregu). This is what families do prior to the day of the funeral as they come and pay their respect. This vlog shows how it is done in our village and what the extended families brings with them to pay their respect.
Next day early in the morning Jekobe and I are out at sea in a fibreglass boat going to the mainland to pick up the guests and the body of the person that passed away. This is one of the things that villagers do prior to the wedding is picking families and relatives up that don't live in the village. Sometimes you do it even though the weather is not great as it is shown here in the vlog.
