I have an idea. Fill up Rosewood. Each house can have 2-3 person families. Give people jobs & responsibilities. The town has no zombies, but there's insane pop outside city limits, and there's only a weeks supply in town at best. You can also introduce mods like poison gas or proximity infection.

It was great but it really needed more incentives. It is very difficult for players to participate in PVP and even some events if they do not have a compelling reason to do so. Putting in limited resources, hordes of zombies with some frequency, fires, preset factions, etc., would have helped.

Once the population reaches a certain number (so lag isn't a problem) hordes should be regularly introduced every 10 minutes. would also be cool to have lots of zombies with good drops on them to encourage hunting and discourage turtling. (also, halfway through the event, set the roof on fire)

What you should do next is: Lock them in the mall for exactly 1 hour. No PvP for 30 of those minutes. After 1 hour they get released to the environment. And at the end of the 1 hour containment you send in a team of ~20 US Army soldiers (ideally event staff) with orders to disperse the loots. If the looters don't comply after 2 warnings they get fired upon... Cause a mass panic to get out of the mall ... Would be a hilarious chaotic mess. They have to like fix cars up in the parking lot, or go on foot, and filter down into the nearby towns for loot and food and stuff..

The balancing for the actual event could simply be to have a hoard on the roof from the start. That way, if they want to gain access to the skylights, they will need to invest a lot of time and resources to clearing the zombies.

because these guys are always so interested in courts and stuff, I think an actual 'judge' would be a good idea instead of letting them do kangaroo courts. I don't get the feeling most of them want a kangaroo court but they also can't escape it since the only people who can be judge are other clan members of the 'wronged' clan. So have one or two mods set off who are not allowed to watch in any way. They can only come in when the groups call for a judge. That way the players have to actually present evidence; the judge has no idea what actually happened. And, of course, if someone's unhappy with the court's decision... well that's just a new thing for people to potentially war over.

There's really good potential in this format. The Mall is perfect for an event like this honestly. I'd love to see more zombies but I'm sure your hands were tied due to the issue you have. Maybe a mod is making it fuck up? Or is it always like that? I like how you barely interfered and kept everything legit, only spawning zombies for events, and to make it interesting to the roof situation. P.S. You should always center the circle on top of the windows of the roof so that you can't roof camp the ending. 🤔

RIP Jacob. Anybody have the twitch link? I think the mall size was good but the ring should be a little larger so players could expand or pull zombies from more locations. Maybe block off the roof initially at the start. Sniping from the skylights was awesome but sky starting up there gave them a safe zone the rest of the clans didn't have from day one. Sky wouldn't of had as much leverage if the roof access didn't exist. Start all 100 in the parking lot, ground level. More diplomacy would of ensued. Also the overall zombie pop felt a bit low. I would expect with all the noise and activity from 100 players, zombies on ground level should be a constant challenge. Also, second best mvp character goes to Doktor after Jacob. The enclosing circle felt a little lame like pubg. There are better ways to end a server than an artificial play zone. Just set food or water air drop ins. Eventually there won't be enough food or water for all the players and the clans will turn on each other or die.
