Yes I do agree about the trainable capability of Belgian malanois that they are great as compared to any other guard dogs. Secondly they are very energetic dogs, so need to channelize their energy. But if we plan their exercise, their meal timings, can we keep them alone for 8 hrs ? Now we all are working from home, so won't be an issue, but if we strt resuming office, so can we leave Belgian malanois near for 8 hrs?

Drawback in Malinois and GSD is at older age they definitely get health problem like Hip Dysplasia and Vestibular. I know it, bcoz my 15+ yrs old GSD is going through with this problem and even I consulted my vet. And they advise these problems are more common in these breeds. Indeed, it’s a very good dog breed.

Civillian ka to aapko pata hi hai kitna exercise karwate hain India mein. Main aise logon se milwa sakta hu, jinhone badhiya quality ke gsd rakhe hue hain protection ke liye but unki haalat greyhound jaisi kar rakhi hai. Sirf potty karane ke liye bahar nikalte hai, wo bhi ghar se 20-30 meter door hi. Koi bata sakta hai ki aise logon ke khilaaf legal action liya ja sakta hai kya? Processor kya hai? Thx.

Hello, I would highly recommend to not get it if you live in a flat, especially if it's small. These dogs have crazy amounts of stamina, and even if you exercise them for a couple of hours everyday, they will still be very active within the house, which might result in your furniture being ruined and the dog becoming aggressive. Best to have a big garden where the dog can roam free whenever it wants, you can see in these videos that they never sit still lol.

dada, for Mumbai please go for breeds like pug, pomeranian, shitzu, labrador or our indie dogs. Belgians need a lot of space and hard-core training so that their excess energy is channelized. They are not flat dogs.
