@gaselekrauss415- know that this mess we are in has not gone unnoticed. It is hard sometimes to see much change in big cities, however take notice of the smaller towns. Our town is population 2,000. We work hard for our community and have had meetings on how we are going to support one another if the recession worsens or we should lose the grid for any reason. We are comprised of working farms and academics. Folks want a safe place to raise their children that resembles the values of 1950s. We farm and are grateful to be living in a small caring town and we are not alone in this endeavor.

I am 85 and remember world war two, everything was saved, our home filled with soldiers and Mom baking cookies and sometimes cinnamon rolls. Dad was in the Army so we had different friends sleeping on the couch, sharing was so important with everyone. More love, acceptance and love of God and country. The family of today scares me Tessie. I have a 14 granddaughter and the wordly things she knows scares me to no end. Some of the parents of today need to turn to God. The languages they use. The anger they show. The partying, drinking,vaping. What are they showing their children. Talking about having parties with mediums, tarot cards, saging etc. And they're raising children to think these things are ok. Where does Jesus fit in? Why not talk about Him. My question is why do some people think the United States should be devoid of problems? And why do some people think most Americans don't believe responsibility and religious lessons belong in the home? And no, it is not hard to do what is right IF a person is a practicing, Christian. Reading journals (1700's-1800's New England) of my great, great, great grandparents, great grandmothers, grandmothers, from the Revolutionary war, civil war, the Great Depression and WW2, our country has always been through rough times. Have people forgotten the 60's and the Vietnam war, the 70's-80's with airplane hijackings, serious recessions, beef and gas shortages where we were assigned days of the week, we could buy gas? Have people already forgotten 9/11 and the 2008 economic mess here in the states? How many people complaining are taking their own advice? People complain no one writes letters anymore, yet when asked, it turns out they themselves don't write letters anymore. How many people complain about the government but have no problem expecting the government to take care of their elderly parents, babies/children, or expect some government program to bail them out of their own poor choices?

Good visit and talk dear Tessie. Our world is not one I recognize. There are times I will listen to the news to see whats going on and it's not the main stream media I choose. Ive been reading the book of Romans and it talks of being obedient to those in authority and pay taxes willingly and don't strike back when evil confronts us or attacks us. Vengeance is mine says the Lord. But I struggle with anger at what the authorities in the current administration are allowing. And I ask God what I should do. I pray because its a huge world out there and I can do my part. And I remember my husband always said evil needs to be confronted. He was so brave and wise and honest. @joannetaggart14236 - Yes there is much you can do on the "grass roots level". We as farmers, support our local town land conservation. We participate in town politics as applied to our community. I share knowledge on organic gardening, raising small anilmals. putting foods by and co-oping with neighbors to save money and to help each other in general. And It works well at our level. I suspect it will be down to the towns if our government fails at supporting its people.

@joannetaggart4136 -It is my hope through the farm community and our County Extension Service to educate folks who live in the suburbs and cities on how to work together to garden or buy foods in bulk, etc. Such actions form a community spirit as well as filling one's pantry. Tessie does it well. I am 74 and the youngest on our farm. We work the land for ourselves and the surrounding townships. I am limited in strength at my age, but find ways to live a full and healthy life. I can still pick up a paint brush to pursue my art and a crochet needle and of course, gardening. Great video Tessie. Couldn't agree more. I have become a homebody because of it. I only go out to Dr. app'ts and home. My husband and I use to enjoy doing little things during the day but because of the anger people are feeling, the entitlement, the loss of kindness to others, the rudeness, it's no longer fun anymore. Even the kids that work at the food chain drive thru are zombies! No hello, no smile and definately no politeness. I agree that when God was taken out of the schools we had problems. So we stay home and enjoy the shelter, the food , the heat and are very grateful. Do I live my life in fear? No I'm using my spiritual discernment.

I, too, am thankful for God's mercy and patience with us. People have also lost the ability to have civil discourse; instead, a difference of opinion is considered an attack. I respectfully disagree. There have always been troubled times. 1800s was one of the biggest upheavals in our country..the Civil War which divided our nation, the 20th century brought us the rise of fascism, the Holocaust, 50s, 60s, and 70s Vietnam, Korea, the Cold War, and race riots. Every generation from the tine civilization began thinks the younger generation is going to hell in a hand basket. The 1950s with the father working, the mother staying home and raising the children, the happy nuclear family around the dinner table spawned the rebellious generation of the 1960s who were anti-establishment, turning their backs on the "ideal family unit" of the 50s in which they were raised. The only difference in the world today is the ability to access information from around the globe because of technology just like television was the downfall of the kids of the 50s, 60s, and 70s. I don't believe the predictions of doom and gloom and clutching your pearls is any different than it has been over the centuries. Once again, I know my comment will be deleted because I stated a different opinion than the topic of this video.

A wonderful message, Tessie! I think you have done a good job of avoiding lots of controversy when it comes to your channel and politics. ("And that ain't easy!" 😀) There's a fine line between being tactful and avoiding any discussion that isn't simply bland thoughts about money or the weather! (On another channel that is "broadcast" from a country across the globe, the owner of the channel said: "It seems that the only thing most Americans care about is how much things cost!" He was astonished at the number of Americans who never, EVER read books! He said that even people who had never been to college in his country read books just for the pleasure of learning and expanding their view of the world! This isn't to say that Americans just don't measure up! People all over the world have their faults. But it's easy to slide into the notion that we are superior to every other country on the planet. I believe that Jesus told the parable about the Good Samaritan for a reason. That being to remind his followers that the Samaritan (a member of an "ethnic" group that many Jewish citizens intensely disliked!) was just as capable of being noble, kind and courageous as anyone else. Not all Americans are of the same religious beliefs. I call myself a christian, a follower of Jesus. I know many Americans that are Hindu, Muslim, Jewish and Christian. It bothers me that some individuals believe there is only religion that our country was founded on. These families raise their children, are in committed family relationships and care about our communtry too. When you visit an ER, you can be seen and saved by one of these same doctors that aren't christian. You may need blood donated by someone that isn't christian but was there because they care. Our country is made up of many different ethnicities not just white Europeans. I love your channel and just wanted to say my opinion. Thank you

Tessie one thing I do recognized is that in spring of 2020 when things temporarily shut down a bit especially restaurants people had to start cooking and learn how to feed their families since processed prepared food was one of the first things off the shelf. But even with that said a lot of people really still have not a clue how to cook good meals from scratch or bake and preserve food. It scares me for them if something were to happen. What would they do. My friend had ice storms where she lives and it cause them to lose power. It was out for 8 days and they had no alternative way to cook. They ate pb and j sandwiches, cold food out of a can, chips etc. It is good to be prepared for anything.

I agree with everything you say and everything you can't say. I also believe that God is giving us a chance to pray and turn from our wicked ways and he will reverse a lot of evil things for a while... It's up to us now.💙🙏

Very beautiful. Absolutely I agree, million times over. Theirs children that don’t have the love they deserve, they’ve become on their own, etc. this saddens my heart so much. Much love to all. I’ll be sharing your video, because, no heads should turn when we want the best for our future, our adult kids, grandkids, great grandkids. I feel we all deserve the best we can make possible.
