I love this question! I might have to do a story-time match to answer this one fully but my grandma was teaching me basic card games from the age of 3, which turned to rummy at 4 🙂 By 5, I was playing poker with the family. At 6, I discovered video games and it was always the ones that made me think, whether it was mechanics or storytelling, regardless of genre, that were my favorite 😄 I found Warcraft very early on, which was my first RTS. Then it was a Command and Conquer box set for my first no-life experience in the RTS genre. From there Disgaea and FF Tactics were my first SRPGs, which I found along with Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh and basketball at the same time around 3rd-4th grade. Competition, both digital and irl kinda consumed my formative years. I love all genres deeply, though. Its just the competitive or "big brain" ones that I'm at my best at as far as content creation 💯 At the end of the day, It all really started with my grandma and a jar of change! I've never been a chess player, but my most anticipated game coming up for mobile (Annulus) is a "war chess" game so you already know I've got respect for the Godfather of the genre! 🔥
