By far the worst video from TheDeshbhakt. Really like other videos but this video seems to be forcefeeding incorrect interpretations. Apart from the Kerala Story none of the movies are based on us vs them. Gadar 1 was more us vs them than Gadar 2 and was 100 times better than Gadar 2. Pathaan hardly had anything to do with us vs them, main villain was an ex Raw agent. Comparing govt provided data at when convenient to your content and disregarding when not (J&K govt data to discredit Kashmir Files). Even this channel alongwith Mr. Ravish Kumar's channel are now coming out as strongly in godi of the other side. So all in all every media is now godi media. No place for neutral and fare content really. Loosing traction gradually. Hope you read this and think about it unless you are already in the godi of the other side.

I think KZbin and other social media platforms can make an impact on how us the people perceive these types of films. It would have been great if many creators would call out the bullshit, but instead they blindly celebrate the film's success without looking at how this would affect the minority (films like The Kashmir files and Kerala story). For the us vs them movies there is no criticism whatsoever, since there is a common enemy (Pakistan), our hyper nationalism comes out and everyone who criticizes the movie becomes an antinational and majority creators have a fear of this happening to them. The one difference between the north and the south movies is that the north ones portray the opposing religion as the evil enemy, and the south celebrates their religion without needing to defame any religion. It was actually refreshing to see to movies like Satya Prem Ki Katha and Rock aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani!! Rocky aur Rani proved that people still love a good romantic comedy musical with family drama! Swara Bhaskar once rightly said, that the reason movies from early 2000s used to be secular in nature, like Veer Zara or Rang de Basanti, wasn't because Bollywood was very secular or that filmmakers knew of their responsibilities as storytellers and massive effect they can have on the audience, no, it was simply a formula, secularism sold back then, just like how communalism sells now. After 2014 the narrative shifted, the kind of movies that were normal back then, like Swades or Rang de Basanti, cannot be made now, not atleast without endangering the lives of its actors and makers, some dal or sena would be ready with the torches to set the theatre on fire. Filmmakers are scared, if they make movies without the current communal formula, not only the movies wouldn't profit, but they would also get on the wrong side of the ruling party, who would want to take a risk like that? When we as an audience are not supporting films like Mulk or An Action Hero, why would the filmakers even bother. What we need to do is be a responsible audience, question and reject hate filled content, and most importantly not give money to propaganda movies. Vivek Agnihotri took home the massive box office earnings of The Kashmir files, actual Kashmiri pandits didn't, they didn't earn any profit or got any help from that movie, only one chaatukaar did after lowering the standards of our cinema.

The drought of creativity in Bollywood started in early 2000s and has only gotten more severe over the years. While there have been a few spells of scattered rain a few times but largely it has been dry. There used to be barely a single movie in 5 years on such topics but now there are 5 such movies every year. In the past social issues were addressed such as corrupt politicians, evil policemen, cruel industrialists, and so on. But now its all about patriotic zealots. No wonder the teenagers of today are so much worse than the older generation.

Early 2000's saw alot of creativity through Farhaan Akhtar, Vishal Bhardwaj, Prakash Jha, Peak Ram Gopal Verma, Peak Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the breakthroughs of Ashutosh Gowariker and Rajkumar Hirani even Karan Johar made some genuinely good films during this time. I mean the guys I mentioned above all emerged during the 2000's and made multiple timeless stuff during this period; you can't say the same for the 2010's. For whatever reason some of the above don't direct anymore and others are making mediocre to trash (especially RGV), only Hirani and Bhansali are still making respectable stuff. 2000's genuinely had some very good script writing compared to what we see today.

The masala entertainer Main Hoon Na, alluding to 'Hindu' terrorism became a superhit at the box office. The two films you missed. Jai Bhim (2021) and Jhund (2022) - Interesting fact is that, when Jhund film was released, suddenly The Kashmir Files was released without buzz- hey surprise !! It seems like that agnihotri and team know when to release to dominate the film or may be pressure from high command for release. It seems like that they know when to release like to dominate the film. The buzz was extremely high for Jhund film promoting Amitabh Bacchan and T- series with real local artist who performed extremely very well in 70 mm with social message. Hawa ka rukh badalrha tha. I don't remember for Jai Bhim release but surely know that the same technique was played to promote propaganda.
