Has Ghana Become Expensive For Tourists?

Tourism in Ghana is expensive and the gentlemen from the tourism authority cannot compare experiences in France with all the breath taking environment to Ghana! They should think about working towards creating the enabling environment for businesses so prices can be reduced and affordable. We're not only looking out for foreigners to visit, but locals should also be able to afford!

We are aware inflation can affect prices etc.. but focus on improving the tourism experience and infrastructure as a whole in the country so tourists can get value for their money. I am glad one gentleman mentioned one major problem, Trash. The cleanliness and lushness of POIs will be some of the reasons tourists will pay whatever money is charged them.. Focus on quality of service and not quantity my Ghanaian brothers and sisters. Instead of the Government focusing on investing heavily in this sector for a proper ROI for the country they are rather focused on going from one international institution to the other begging for loans to build huge pits .. Its just pathetic 🤦‍♂

Ghana tourism is expensive. Hotels are expensive and certain areas are no go areas for Ghanaians.

Ben had no solutions which was disappointing. Not even sharing some of the things the government is doing, any progress, acknowledging the problems or the issues to improve on them. Just excuses. It will be sad to see the big tourism boom not last in Ghana if these “ministers” don’t get their act together to help business owners conduct business. Separate from greedy owners, it will allow for real commerce and healthy competitive business landscape. Also, value add also means ease of movement within Ghana so tourist locally and abroad can easily AND SAFELY get to their destinations to see the full beauty of Ghana. The whole point of also being in a central area is that you’re close enough to things to WALK there. Where are the sidewalks?? And now electricity that the people should be grateful for since it’s a “privilege”. Just the basics that will contribute to pricing!!! It’s a shame these “ministers” are not doing more to capitalize on their “Year of Return” investments.
