Has gone depicts movement whereas was gone depicts absence and is mostly used in narratives( story telling, news paper etc.)

Hi, Dear Teacher, I thought only transitive verb can be involved into the passive structure of sentences. Like the following example: Active form: I took my bag. Passive form: My bag was taken by me. But, in this video, we can see an intransitive verb "to go", and it is confusing for me to compare with the case above. as when we say that: Active form: I went,. Passive, but there can't be a passive form of that: I was gone! because there is no object. Sorry for the asking if it looks like embarrassing. Thanks for such a great teaching of yours, Ma'am. Dear teacher; in the example above I don't understand the difference between "was gone" as past perfect tense (an action developed before a point in the past) and "was gone" as past simple of the verb "to be" + adjective ("gone"). Could you clarify it for me ? Thank you. I love your lessons.

Hi Jennifer, Thanks for your lesson. I don't think there's a quite difference between Has gone and Was gone. Because both Has gone and Was gone include the meaning of absence. The functions of Have and Be are same on Gone. Past participle is also adjective and main verb at the same time. Gone is Gone. Be has no substantial meaning. Have and Be just do grammatical role. They have almost the same meaning in that they are describing the state of subject. What do you think about this?

In the phrase "to be gone" the word "gone" hardly ever means passive voice, it's more likely to be used as an adjective. Speaking of which, I'm not a native speaker, but I don't think that "gone" is ever really used in passive voice, because if you think about it, for example _He was gone by something_ doesn't really make sense, neither does any usage of "gone" in passive voice, as far as I know. But correct me if I'm wrong.
