I don’t think Barkley should just automatically win MVP if he breaks the rushing record. There are a few reasons why but mainly because he’s a RB, doesn’t touch the ball every play and his team doesn’t live or die by his running. Gainwell could go in there and not be Barkley but he’d be good enough.

Right? And Allen has set 2 NFL records in the past 2 weeks! And he even set the Fantasy Football record for points by a QB. he also did this: It was Allen's fifth game with at least two passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns, passing Hall of Famer Steve Young's four for most in NFL history. He had two passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown for the 23rd time, passing Cam Newton's 22 for most all-time. Allen extended his NFL record to 10 games with at least 300 yards passing and 50 yards rushing. He tied Tom Brady and Drew Brees for most games all-time, nine, with at least three passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown. Allen tied Kordell Stewart for most games in NFL history, two, with three or more passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns. Allen's six touchdowns gave him 252 in his career. He reached 250 total touchdowns in his 107th game, tying Patrick Mahomes for fewest to reach 250 combined touchdowns in NFL history. He was robbed of it last year when he led the NFL in total yards, total TD, highest percentage of his teams scores at 86% ( Jackson was 52%) and Allen was 3rd in QBR over Jackson. Now in his 5th straight MVP worthy season, it's time to give the man his flowers.

The Bills aren't going to win the division or make the playsoffs right? Lost his WR1, WR2 and has a whole new core of receivers. All the captains of the team left. Then add significant games missed by injury for Coleman and Kincaid. And lets not forget his hand injury that he got in week 1 and had been dealing with for a lot of season. Yet, Allen wins the division faster than any team in the NFL and has the 2nd highest scoring offense. Who I believe has gone over 30 points in 7-8 straight games. Allen leads the league in QBR and total TD (might be 2nd after the Bengals game). And after already being the MVP favorite, becomes the only QB to win against KC and he had an MVP moment doing it on that 4th and 2. What does he do next? Record setting memorable game against KC? What does he do next? Record setting 6 TD game. At this point in the season, it really shouldn't matter what he does. He seems poised for another record setting (beating his own) 5th straight 40+ TD season. If you remove Allen from the Bills, they are a 3-4 win club team. No other MVP candiate is that impactful to the success of their team.

Or maybe it’s because Aaron Rodgers had 48 passing touchdowns to 5 interceptions 121 plus QB rating and played an OBVIOUSLY better year than Allen lol. Maybe that’s why he has more of a chance this year than 2020.

Just watched a game from 1998 , Bills vs. Miami. Doug Flutie had great protection in the pocket . Like most other teams in the NFL . Watch other teams quarterback protection much better than what the Bills O line is doing for Josh Allen . He needs more time in the pocket .
