@@Avner-n5l With the price you can get a new Samsung it is not worth getting the Chinese phone even for 100-200 less. Samsun S25 Ultra has great deals and you can find it for even less than an S24 Ultra if you find a good deal. Unless you get refurbished Ultra. Apple has been poor for a few years now. The 16 pro max has a great camera but everything else is not much of a change and the price is ridiculous. They charge that because they know the sheep will pay for it. I would only get it if it was cheaper than a Samsung makes no sense getting a similar or lesser phone for more money

Here’s thing about modern day phones. We are now at the point that the newest phones that come out every year are not for those that upgrade every year or even couple of years, they are now made for newer customers and for those who I guess at the very least 3+ years old phones that are planning to upgrade. It’s obvious now for most phone companies their focus are no longer (for practical reasons) are not to please their general audience but for newer customers so that when they come in they a) don’t feel left out & b) by technicality they are still getting the latest and greatest even though practically there’s hardly any difference.

how in the heck do these people get over a day of battery life? my S24U is almost dead by the end of the day. i don't use social media, i don't play games. I use it for email, home security and KZbin. I also use a smart watch so i don't need to look at my phone for every notification. I can guarantee nobody gets over a day of battery life on a phone if its used normally without power save mode.

Your battery has deteriorated, it doesn't hold a charge as it once did when new. This can also be a reason as to why you end up with little to no battery left at the end of the day.

AI sells investors, consumers are getting real fucking sick of it. i have no plan to purchase a new phone. if my current phone dies to an extent where i can't repair it (water damage or getting run over basically) then i'll buy a used phone with replacement parts and a good custom ROM community behind it like pixel phones. I have a samsung s21, not an old phone. i've replaced the battery on it but it didn't help battery life so my next step would be a custom ROM except fuck me i don't OWN my phone Samsung does and won't let me do that. my pixel 3a phone, replaced screen and battery, has a custom ROM and lasts days without a sim card.

in years gone by samsung were always shooting their shot at different things, iris scanning, heart rate monitors, dual from cameras, variable aperture, so i guess we've been spoiled by samsungs high heights,so when they don't do as much we feel it more . The fact that some of the specs havent changed in years and can keep up is probably a sign that maybe samsung were ahead in specs or maybe they're software game has been getting better and better or maybe both. The phones are great phones but i guess sometimes we want to feel the excitement of a new toy

Just buy the s24 ultra for 600-800 depending where u live 1300 for 1 year extra software isnt worth it and the new chip gives u 1 more hour of battery life.. which was already good enough for a day or more

Micro sd cards are slow, and internal storage is way faster, and usb c thumbs can do same thing micro sd card but way better with way faster transfers speeds.

My S25 Ultra came today and I have to say, I love the hardware, even if it's a little boring now. It honestly feels a little nicer built than my iPhone 16 Pro Max, and definitely feels stronger than the Z Flip 6 I'm trading in on it because I never use it. I'm kind of over all the AI stuff though. Like companies can cool it with all the talk until it actually starts to feel special. But for now, generative wallpapers are lacking, Google is doing better in the actual phone call side, and I feel like Apple does better with photo editing (though I'll be testing that out on the S25 Ultra soon). The smart search in settings actually feels useful, but I don't feel like that needs to be branded and pushed as this amazing AI thing, especially when it's something that won't get used often.

Phones are largely stale now, " oh our phone is 20% faster with a better camera" meanwhile they aren't making them as efficient, it's why phones are still getting hotter each year, to the point the highest end brick phones need fans. This ai nonsense deserves to go nowhere, if it's done locally then it's your soc doing all of the processing, if it's done in the cloud it's scam.... the mismarketing behind ai on phones is insane, they're trying to act like the ai stuff is magically done by artificial intelligence on your device by some kind of personal K.I.T.T from knight rider. We're at a point now where soc manufacturers and phone makers just want to cram in the next gimmick, perfect the phone first ya ding dong, all you need is to put more effort into efficiency and cooling instead of a gimmick no one is going to use.
