Think youve made some great points on the current situation! Personally, i have found myself on the other side, enjoying the game more since the updates and watching way more sorare content but ive never been a buyer/seller and more of a long time holder and collector I do find the midweek conditions an interesting one, kind of like SBCs in FUT a few years back, could easily influence the market
@SNOEN19659 ай бұрын
I actually think that a sbc format can help sorare with reducing cards in circulation what reffers in more ask and less supply what can bring up the prices and give an extra fun turn with low tier card rewards.
@SimplyAlexGaming9 ай бұрын
Yeah agree with you both would be pro SBCs but difficult to introduce

I think it is obvious that liquidity is the main problem. Its the basic supply and demand. They saved the platform by reducing the supply but the demand has not increased enough to make the market healthy. There is not enough buyers. So increasing the supply again will have a very negative effect. The only thing they could do is start focus on the users and the incentives to buy the cards. If everything becomes about how they can make money it not the best selling point. Trying to incentivizes trading should be an priority. Its a game in itself and a big part of what made Sorare great. That scouting is rewarded. If the market is dead and the prices are low it doesnt make people want to invest time and money in it. I think thats the main issue the platform is facing

Yeah very fair points. Trading has been an after thought recently. Time to get it front and centre again

Now its impossible to justs put in 10 euros and trade your way up. But that also takes away the fun part of trading and also takes away most of the budget players. Slows down market and its impossible to sell something. I feel like its either you play and try to have fun build gallery for the long term, or you just trade
@johngood38589 ай бұрын
Agree completely. Used to stay engaged by trading or looking for opportunities on the market. Now I just set lineups and hope for rewards. Waiting weeks to sell players is just too slow

Agree with your points on collectibility, 5% and not swapping in and out as much all make perfect sense to me. From my perspective, the main point that resonates with me is the new UI and game modes taking so long it is essentially like another job. With a 3pm UK lock, I have to spend at least 2 hours making all my teams which doesn't really work alongside full time job. Sadly it's something I see as a chore now. With profitability being as important as fun, I have much more enjoyment on other platforms that require less effort. Considering selling off most of my gallery to collate into 3/4 rare teams that will reduce the effort I need to put in
@SimplyAlexGaming9 ай бұрын
Yeah I need to reduce my limited cards but I can’t let go of most or you just accept more DNPs but that’s not fun ruins the best part of sorare. But Fridays feel like build check rebuild check rebuild check not fun
@goldengoal41569 ай бұрын
pretty much on point. I also think that people don´t need to buy more cards anymore. Most people know that they need the best cards to win and they invested in top team collections. You just play your collection week in week out and you don´t even need to buy a midfielder for the game week when someone is injured. You own the whole collection, just play the guy who replaces him.
@SimplyAlexGaming9 ай бұрын
Yeah another good point which make people less hooked. Check expected line up, make team move on. No scouting or anything needed
@SorareSeagull9 ай бұрын
Enjoyed the vid, thoughtfully set out as usual. You may have intentionally not touched on it, but for me, the spark is fading due to the jackpot factor going. T0 & T1 card wins once represented a euphoric moment, and that seems to have faded and not been replaced with hefty enough cash prizes IMO - even with the introduction of In-Season prizes. I was captured by the game that offered an expensive entry… but a huge reward if your players went off!

I kind of consider that in the price section I mentioned at the start but yeah get why that’s made people less interested 💯

Maybe a silly suggestion given your gallery value but what about trading Limiteds? They are the most liquid scarcity you can get and will give you the feeling of wheeling and dealing more than other scarcities. I know they don't sell as well as before but special weeklies and international tournaments could be great opportunities for profit.
@SimplyAlexGaming9 ай бұрын
Yeah it’s a good point but then you lose the jackpot factor and it’s like all that work, wait 2 years finally beat everyone and win £80 or whatever. Hard to adjust to yellows again with my gallery size like you say

5% is way too much. I lost all interest in trading after this came out. And what finally killed the last joy i have with this game is this "in-season" stuff. Better off just revert all change in the last two years, even if the prices are a lot lower.

I agree 5% is a lot! I don't think it needs to change necessarily. Right now the only goal of the game is to get a team of preferably 100 scores together. There's too little usage for other players. And that's what I find quite boring actually.

I'm actually the opposite type of player. I never liked trading, that's the least fun aspect to me. So yes for me the game got more exciting. I've accepted I lost money in the past 2 years, now I enjoy my gallery that has a lot of level 20 players now which are giving me some edge here and there. But I understand for many players the trading was essential, but honestly it was only essential because it had the potential of being profitable because of the crypto volatility. I honestly think most players just did it for the money and now that side of the game has the sharp edges been stomped down those players are leaving. My style of play is probably not common, your style of play a bit more common, but the traders were very common. Also we should not forget that there have been many seasons now and there is less need for players (if you count out in-season). I love spending the hours filling in my rosters every GW, and I enjoy it more than before despite the fact I might win less, especially from august onwards. Heck for me the rare market has opened up more, which probably means nothing in 3 years but hey there is that for me to look forward to.

I have had no issue selling cards that have value within 12-24 hours. I have had issues selling relatively worthless cards becuase people don't want them and then utilize tradebots to dump them for whatever I can. This is 100% the way it should be. Longer tenured Managers are complaining that they can't sell shit cards for large amounts like they used to but as a Manager who started 18 months ago, this is EXACTLY the way it should be.
