We need a deeper more honest conversation here. Accounting for all the variables here guys. What was that refereeing. We need accountability here. 1. NO ONE IS TALKING about the actual timing of the whistle. Trossard kicks the ball in less than 1 second (reports saying 0.86 SECS) after the whistle is blown. And Oliver determines it's for delaying the restart. Is that enough reaction time? In the frame after the red card, he's clearly gesticulating that he did not hear the whistle? 2. Arsenal were on the offensive in that last period. Is Trossard kicking the ball away or attempting to pass to Martinelli? He’s outside the frame. 3. PLUS on commentary, they had a line through and VAR SAID that the 2nd yellow was for the challenge, and not delaying the restart. That excuse came after from the Premier League Match center. So which is it? If it's a second yellow for the challenge. THEN LETS HAVE THAT CONVERSATION.
@VensystemsUkАй бұрын
well said mate. Obviously a post match cover-up of impartial referring, as ever. Trossard was clearly lobbing the ball forward in to martinelli's path when he heard the whilst and then turned to face ref. Even fans are picking up on the wrong issue due to these media channels. The money involved causes corruption, and the FA have too much control of broadcasters for anyone to risk crossing them by analysing this detail or the extra stoppage time on each half. Can't find any footage where that whistle can be heard.
@ACE-7964Ай бұрын
@@VensystemsUk I KNOW! The punditry, backflipping, and coverage of these incidents clearly impact the game. Reminiscent of the Lewis F1 incident. It is becoming glaring, and the incompetent explanation is falling flat.

Arsenal didn't have to come out in the 2nd half because they had the lead -- the aim was to protect it. Also, Arsenal were influencing who took the shots for City: they allowed Akanji, Gvardiol and Ruben Dias to take a lot of the shots knowing they are less potent, but were more aggressive at shutting down opportunities of other players. Arsenal weren't just mindlessly defending; there was a strategy behind that low block. Saliba made a mistake putting the ball out that resulted in the final corner -- if he'd directed it to the touchline, Arsenal might have pulled off a win.

addressing 12:22 points - White is not super good going forward and he is also not elite going backward. he is a very good right back but he is more of an all-rounder. Timber as you say has the attributes of a midfielder but is even bit a center back as well, just not very imposing in terms of stature. Caliafiori and Timber are an upgrade on the fullback approach at arsenal and we can have like a real back 4 when we need it but also as we saw with caliafioris goals, very direct threatening play going forward which we have really never had with our previous crop of LBs or RBs. I am not sure I would call it an innovation in any real sense but it is another shift towards both more physicality and more threat, while not losing anything or at least not much on defense (judging by our defensive performance this game haha )

Trent has bad reputation of being a bad defender, Kyle Walkers performance or rather poor performances never get noticed. He’s reason for almost every goals City or England conceeds.

Oliver was at fault for that goal.

I thought blocking players off was no longer allowed but Arsenal consistently doing it on corners to gain an unfair advantage!
@DrFunkadunkАй бұрын
It's called a box out. You can't intentionally shove a defender into the keeper or outright push the keeper yourself, but you also don't have to just get out of the keepers way. Martinelli just stood there, which he is completely allowed to do. If you really think that was a foul, maybe badminton is a better option for you?
@aduadАй бұрын
@@DrFunkadunk its not about what I think its about the change the league made, and Martinelli wasn't just standing there, he moves from the far post to block off Ederson.

It's like a charge in basketball if you get to the position first you can hold your position.

Since when has blocking ever not been allowed. 2 types of blocking, blocking by standing still and the opponent moving into you and blocking by moving into the someone path. One would be foul and the other is Perfectly ok or have you forgotten football is a contact sport !

What has happened to Gab? Where is my humble & knowledgable analyst? This ignorant, arrogant and frankly, obnoxious version is boring and a tough listen.

Arsenal came for a draw and got it. They should be proud of themselves, its why they wont win the league again this year...

9-minutes of the Gabs trying and failing to cover-up a lack of knowledge. first time watching, won't again. That gabs doesn't sound like he has ever been involved in a corner or even watched how keepers protect goals against corners. Why not let the former player just answer the question? 🍩

Arsenal played dirty and it was embarrassing ! Right from the get go! I am shocked nobody is talking about how Rodri went down in first few seconds and later in the game. We all know what Havertz did.. that was so dirty ! I’m not mentioning the rest. It was THAT obvious lol
@atayohabib935Ай бұрын
Lack of physical fitness, everyone saw it coming. First incident, Rodri ran into Kai trying to fake a foul. Even the biased Ref was on his side. Second incident, Ridri stepped badly, and twisted this knee probably... no one to blame for his lack of fitness. The cheater ref was even aware of Rodri lack of fitness. Let's for once speak the facts in the game as they happen.
