When there was Kuki Naga conflict where is the question of Point of No Return, why only this time...if Rajdeep is a true journalist he should focus on how to bring peace in the region rather than bringing communal colours. There is a long history before the beginning of the present crisis, yes CM Biren may be helplessness at this juncture and this does not mean that i support him. But he as a CM initiated some measures to check (i) heavy influx of illegal migrants from Myanmar through unfenced border which leads to sudden spurt and abnormal growth of population in Churachandpur (ii) encroachment of forest land and widespread poppy plantation (iii) appearance of innumerable number of new villages which are not in the list of government recognize villages within a very short span of time. The above actions infuriate Kuki communities and started rebellion against him and target him. If Kukis feels unjustly treated there are democratic ways rather than targeting civilians. Remember the conflict was started in the early evening of 3rd May by burning down meitei houses and the retaliation in other valley areas started very late in the evening. Before 3rd May incident Kukis started burning down houses of Meiteis in the Moreh town but there was little or no backfire, but they took it for granted and started targeting Meitei houses in a massive way with the help of armed militants on that very day. We want to live in a peaceful environment where there is progress and prosperity. Right thinking people should support to good governance to make possible all the good things happen in the society rather than involving in the blame game.
