My husband and I have figured out that our children don't need us to tell them what we think all the time. They are adults and they grew up with us. They know what we believe. My sadness is that I want them to live life to the fullest and only in Christ can that happen.

Doctrine is important to the faith Many Christians don’t know the essentials of the faith Many present day ‘ preachers’ are using this gap to peddle their false teaching But for the grace of God and the Holy Spirit

My daily prayer for my daughters. I speak truth to them constantly. I just hope they find that life without Christ is pointless and don’t let worldly thoughts guide them away

On the contrary. I never pushed religion onto my children I believed it was important for them to come to Christ on their own. I set an example and there was dialogue about it but no pushing. As adults, they both did just that. We used to be Catholics so my children were baptized and made their sacraments but that was the extent of it. We are just Christians now (Catholic no longer a good description of our faith now). One child chooses to remain Catholic but the other is born again like me. I know what he meant when he referred to the evil, it exists and without God I believe we are more vulnerable to it and it can get a foothold, but WITH God I believe we are more protected from it. No one is completely evil proof because Satan is a liar and a thief, but he has no dominion over believers the way he has over non-believers. God will use Satan's plans for our good.

Why would a parent with a close relationship with Jesus get angry with their child for not following the Lord as they had previously. That's the fastest way to make them run from Jesus. If the parent has a true relationship with Jesus, they would approach their child in love.

My guess is… anger is a secondary emotion. A primary emotion that would have preceded it was probably fear, maybe hurt. So the anger is the reaction when fear is the root.

None of us have arrived...yet. We are ALL growing N developing in our life N our faith because we ARE ALL still human. Parents are NOT God's n they need love n compassion just as anybody else after all their struggles n sacrifices❤

I grew up in a church that taught about the Bible and Jesus. But I was never remember being challenged to make it a commitment to Christ. When I was in college, someone finally introduced my parents to Christ. But, I didn't come to know Christ until I returned from Vietnam. Several years later, I was leading a small group. One of the members of that group asked the woman, who had been the superintendent of the Sunday School program, that I had grown up under whether she had ever made a commitment to Christ. She replied that she didn't need that. So it wasn't a case of my walking away from the faith. Rather, it was a case of not ever having heard the message. People may have presented the message, but it never registered. So it is important to ask whether the message has ever been heard.

Glad I deconverted. It wasn't anything bad that happened to me, or bad people in the church. I simply dove deeper into it, wanting to back up my faith, and found that christianity has no actual substance to it. It's faith in spite of no evidence.

Thankfully it doesn't matter the exact denomination, the Lord can work in our lives in spite of our short comings.

4….I have 4 grown kids who are doing this. 2 have had a bad experience with “Christian people’ and 2 just stopped. So upsetting and breaks my heart. ☹️I will not stop praying!🙏

Why don't you let them go on their own path, instead of trying to force your kids to be like you? You having children doesn't give you a right to force your beliefs onto them if they don't accept them 🤷
