to add, the word "حشاش" "Hashash" which is the singular of "حشاشين" "Hashashin" was adopted by them as the word in itself may be taken as the "doer of Hashish (which in common language in Arabic word means some type of cannabis, but in origins is the noun for "Grass")" so they adopted the word as they imagined themselves Decapitating their enemies heads, as they would do with grass. This is according to some legends in Arabic books and literature

Here in Mongolia 🇲🇳 some history classes teach their students that the order of the assassins were honorable and noble warriors that protected the poor and the interest of the people. I do not know how much of it is true but i hold them in high regards. And their leader, The Old Man of the Mountain, is said to continue living on by his next successors to instill the fear to the enemy of the hashashins, order and hope to the common folk. Also, Gramps rules.

Yes im from Iran and i visited Alamut castle of hassan sabah 3 day ago. It was an absolute beauty! Everything about this castle is great and it gives you some positive energy! Unfortunately only 30 percent of this beautiful ancient place is discovered by archeologists and about 70 percent of them is not discovered yet due to the budget and money. unfortunately the government doesn't care about this ancient and important place like many other ancient places. There are lots of mysterious spots in this castle. For example there is a pond in one room of this castle which always have water in it even if you take all water out it will fill again of water. Such a mysterious place! It is located above the highest mountain and Alamut means the Nest of eagles and because of that we always see an eagle in AC games. Ubisoft should make a real game from the real story not fake ones. Also Many people had tried to attack this place but they didn't succeeded because the castle was too invincible. Until Holaku khan mongul ruler attacked after years of waiting and then he burned and destroyed the castle and they burned one of the largest and greatest libraries which was located in the Alamut castle and god knows what was those books about and it's so sad that we lost them. The castle has been rebuild and repaired 5 times and some people says Some treasures are hidden there. Its a legend and im proud of it.💙 I wish all the people who love AC could come and visit this wonderful castle one day💙

great idea, please do it and of course mention Porfirio Rubirosa Trujillo's Ambassador to the USA...he was a 24/7 playboy here in NYC and alleged to be 'horse-hung'. he spied on the Dominican resistance here in NYC and got people tortured and killed back home. one of Trujillo's favorite torturers was a dwarf named "Snowball" who bit men's genitals off. President Roosevelt knowing all of these horrors, said: "Trujillos an SOB but he's our SOB". nothing new. a Dominican friend told me that Trujillo was so racist and hateful of Haitians that he insisted the "Merengue" came from Haiti and was not Dominican.

Prometheus Is Cold I’ve been playing quite a few AC games recently, and seeing as I’ve sunk just about 200 hours into Odyssey and its expansions completionist style I’d say it’s worth it. I have Origins on my desk for that reason. The only thing in Odyssey is that literally everything levels up with you, which is a hit or miss depending on what you prefer. You always get a decently balanced challenge, with more abilities and upgrades to play with. I somehow got AC3 and AC Liberation for free, and AC3 was ‘aight, but getting that 100 % sync is too infuriating at times than what I’d recommend attempting, so much so that it ruins that feeling you’re supposed to have at the end of a game. Just don’t try it. Some parts are so broken you have to find ways around what you’ve previously been taught by trial and error and consulting forums. Like that feckin wolf ambush when you’re on a reasure hunt. How was I supposed to know that the creators expected me to use silent poison darts? Outrageous. AC Liberation had an interesting concept in theory with the wardrobe changes, but it still forced specific outfits onto the questline which made the mechanic feel superfluous. I mean, why give us choice if we can’t choose? Overall I never felt all that involved in whatever was happening. Traversing the city and swamp felt really clunky compared to both AC3 and Odyssey. Thank goodness that’s over. Meh.

And I felt ashamed. I had stolen from that man the most precious gift of all - life. But I also felt something else - pride, because I had taken up arms against someone who sought to do ill against my family. And I realized what I had done was necessary. You see... I have to give plenty of credit to you good sir and a lot of praise for your KZbin work. I have so far watched your videos on Rasputin, Blackbeard, Aleister Crowley, HP Lovecraft & Jack the Ripper and it is very clear to me that you are extremely knowledgeable and very interested in your history and global culture. It is also clear that you do lots of research by reading lots of books, manuscripts and look into different points of views from many individuals on the various subjects you study. The amount of effort you put into your work is extraordinary and inspiring. Keep doing what you do and continue your excellent work.

@@alexiep2422 There's no actual tombstone but remnants of the Alamut Castle are still open to the public. It's only a shadow of its former glory though.

@gloomy day A large portion of Iran's current population including me don't have religious zeal anymore. I'm not sure if that's the word. I am practically an atheist. Iran's probably got the least religious people in the Middle East. You probably got that idea because our current government is a Shia Islamic one.

So nice to see you Simon with more light on you instead of in the dark recesses of the basement on Casual Criminalist. Nice how the watch matches your jacket too.
