It's hard to compete with the paint and sculpt of the ToyBiz. Though I do prefer the Hasbro chair. And bigger is always better. I would have loved a less smooth sculpt. Hasbro has a distinctly animated look similar to the What If figures. I think of Sugar Man and how much texture they put into that figure. I remember looking at in box Spiral and thinking $50 was too rich for my blood. What a fool. But Hasbro has basically all the parts for a new Spiral. Fur boots from Black cat, the Jean Grey thighs, double jointed arms. Just need the head and a chest that can have 6 arms. I can stomach her being a deluxe release if they do her right and it's not a train wreck like 6 arm Spidey or Doppleganger. Though I can see them giving us a modern, X force Spiral before the classic.

The scale and size are perfect on this thing. Speaking of Spiral, she looks AMAZING next to him. I do not regret pulling the trigger on her so many years ago. I'm with you on her being a deluxe. If they updated her she could be glorious if done right! I also would like an X Babies 3 pack. Cmon Hasbro!

I love that they sneaked him out as a single release at a more affordable price. I have the Toy Biz one but this looks more comic accurate to me. As for the missing colours. I can add those myself. Good job Hasbro. 👍

@@minotaur_king1733 I'm going to do the same. Maybe this weekend. Going to research a little to decide what all to go with, but at the very least paint all the metal and wire parts black, then dry brush silver and gunmetal on the raised surfaces. That alone will make a huge difference.

Pretty sure the points at the top of the tail are meant to be like RCA cables, since the character is into making TV shows/media. Also the paint on the 3 pack will supposedly be more detailed/spotted and yellowed, so this is not a straight up release of that version (which would be annoying, I'll admit). Strangely, the soft material belly has me most excited! What I really wish they had done was make an alternate smiling head with closed eyes, because there were moments where Mojo was delighted when things benefitted him and it was creepy looking.

For me, Hasbro is the superior Mojo. It's not even a question. But I am surprised by how much I like the single release. I hope I like the boxset version as much once I finally have it in had. Thanks for the review, Unparalleled!

Mojo and MODOK are proof that Hasbro can do really great things, if their hands aren't tied and they're given complete freedom. I wonder if they went all out just to prove that they are better than Toybiz, because they know how much collector love certain Toybiz figures. We should start praising all the old Toybiz over Hasbro, so that way they get competitive and give every figure this same level of love just to dethrone Toybiz.

Great review as always for me best MOJO of all time but..... I think I like unfortunately the one from box set more because the paintjob looks much better and outstanding. The yellow is much more alive and looks a little bit dirtier because of grey spots. Painted finger nails , wires are more colorful they're not just silver. Shame he is much more expensive but hey got the omega red from 5pack (which was much better than the single one IMO) so why should I fail to buy this box set XD

I was and am a big fan of the Toy Biz Line-up of action figures. About 5 years ago I started getting into the Toy Biz figures. I saw a couple of the BAF's I really wanted. One was Galactus. The other was Apocalypse. Then I saw the Sentinel but that one was insanely high priced. I found both of the BAF's I wanted already built. Galactus was about $80.⁰⁰ with shipping and Apocalypse was about $85.⁰⁰ if I remember correctly. I still however saw some of the figures from the Galactus wave that I really liked. Nightcrawler was one of the main ones as was Professor X. I found a couple of them loose as well. I found Nightcrawler($45.⁰⁰), 🎯🎯Bullseye🎯🎯($20.⁰⁰), and Doctor Strange($25.⁰⁰). Professor X was $75.⁰⁰ MIP, and $70.⁰⁰ loose. I only bought the packaged one. I ended up getting the entire set of the Galactus BAF wave Mint in Packaging. Even the variants. Grey Hulk, 🎯Bullseye🎯, etc. My biggest bummer was not getting a Professor X loose for my X-Men set.

But my biggest and most sought after figure was the Toy Biz Doctor 🐙Octopus🐙 figure from series VIII if I remember correctly. He had tentacles that you could pose in any way you wanted, even having him "walk on them". I found two MIP but they weren't cheap either, but I had really wanted him. I have 2 major Action figure teams or groups. The X-Men and 🕷🕸Spider-Man🕸🕷 with his villains. Oh and Captain America and the Falcon were my favorites as a kid. And I got both of those as well. My two Captain America's came MIP, one had a Gold Frame around the inside. I really liked the Toy Biz line-ups. They looked better, had much better articulation. The female figures were not usually very good. They were actually somewhat hideous. Hasbro's Marvel Legends figures were decent enough years back. The Toy Biz were a bit more pricey so picked the ones I really wanted and settled for the rest with Hasbro. Nowadays however, Hasbro's figures have really lost their attention to detail and quality. Plus they jacked the prices up to ridiculous amounts. I've gone back to buying Toy Biz. If I'm having to pay $35.⁰⁰ to $75.00+ for Hasblow's crappy lines, I'd rather spend more for a BETTER HIGHER QUALITY PRODUCT like Toy Biz, Mezco, Mafex, or SHFiguarts. I have ONE figure on pre-order from Hasbro and that's the Tarantula figure that I've wanted for a LONG TIME. Otherwise, I haven't seen or wanted ANYTHING from them in 12-18 months.

This Mojo looks cool, I like that it's an easier and cheaper way to get it than the box set but it's still a pass for me, mainly due to space. My Marvel villain shelf is pretty much dominated by Spider-Man villains on one side, and Avengers/assorted villains on the other, so the X-Men villains are all crammed in the middle and whilst I have space for some more regular human type characters, villains like Bonebreaker and Mojo are just too big. Plus, even if I had the space with all the price hikes I'm getting picky with this line, and Mojo whilst a cool design isn't a villain I'm super attached to, I love the X-Men villains but he was one I just never came across growing up.

I'm getting this, but don't think I can part with the ToyBiz one, especially since it has the Jabba's throne homage with the little gold heads on the base. It's too beautiful of a figure, even though it's way undersized and a bit stylized. So I'll give it to hasbro with making a more comic accurate sculpt...and they did a good job on the teeth. *Jabba's throne has little cyclops gargoyle heads around it

It looks great. I think the new one is better than the ToyBiz but yeah, painting is lacking. This one is too pale for my taste, besides the colour wires and stuff. If the threepack was 100 bucks I'd get that one, but can't compare 45 vs like 180 tbh

17:28 The solo release one looks like that Bandai Boba Fett model kit. You got the base colours molded in the right shade of plastic; now you just need some paint and fine tipped brushes to spend 17 hours on painting it. Really wack hasbro never mentioned it was going to be released in stores for $42. So their logic is that non-bobbling bobble headed Wolverine is worth $48 (minus the $50 for a new fig and a re-release with a slightly different head), or the extra paint on that Mojo is pretty much worth that. Cause you can't say it's for the packaging, since all figures come in packaging already. I bet _a lot_ of ppl have cancelled that set and will just be adding the missing paint to this one. $100 Longshot will get another release at some point.

22:23 I'm sure it's been mentioned, but I watched a review last month of the box set, and it looks like all the images we've seen. With Spiral, I never understood any dissatisfaction you've had against it. I 100% guarantee a new one won't have a removable helmet. I'll take removable helmets any day, as long as it doesn't make the head small. Besides pinless, the only thing they could do better is have the sword in the scabbard removable. It was the first female legends fig I kept cause it's that good. And it's got all the articulation lol...including four double jointed arms! Good luck with them making a better one.

Speaking on hips and grown woman lady parts, I wish they started making them female figures more curvy with adult boobies. So many of them look like starving tweens. The Rogue body is the one that pops in my head that actually looks like an actual adult.

I prefer the way hasbro figures look clean & consistent throughout the line. obviously, sculpt is better in the toybiz days. but the paint, in MOST toybiz figures, just looks too dirty & splotchy. Especially when they tried to do drybrushing. they would go WAY too hard in my opinion. making every figure look dirty inside the cracks & creases.
