Massively underrated film... some movies just get overlooked and never get the love they deserve. This is one of them. Parineeti NAILED her character! Other good movies that are ignored like this - Dawat-E-Ishq, Jugg Jugg Jiyo, Aurangzeb (Arjun Kapoor starrer), Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar (even though flawed, but still good).

OH YOU DID NOT JUST- THE WAY I SCREAMED. This is one of my absolute favourites when it comes to Bollywood RomComs. Not necessarily a mass favourite but it sure is special. The songs, the ambience, the wholesome characters, decent writing, ah takes me back to the 2014 phase. Pumped for this reaction!

If this was a post-Covid film, there'd be several posts & reels on IG (and shorts on YT) about the too smooth ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) representation the writers perhaps unknowingly did with Pari's character. Sid's character might also have been on the spectrum (unconventional intelligence is known to be a sign of possible ASD, plus his moderate level social anxiety) but he was "normal" enough for most people to not take note.

@@Lazymath007_ His character, not him. Like I said, it seemed to be on a lower moderate level so no one would catch a whiff unless they were actively looking for it. Hell, even I didn't notice** the possible signs (not saying he definitely had it, I'm saying he /might/ have had it) until a couple months ago when I happened to re-watch the film with my Naani. **Context: During the lockdown I found out I might be on the spectrum. The signs have all been there since childhood but given the stigma attached to mental health here (mid-tier India, dunno about the more modern cities) yet to get a proper diagnosis (did have a psychiatrist prescribe me some medication back when I was 13-14, but that didn't last more than a week; family was...impatient about results, to say the least, and me being socially blank, meaning not knowing what to say, didn't help). That said, since I found out, been trying to study ASD and other spectrum things (excluding sexuality/orientation for now, that's a little complex to explore outside of academia) in my ways for a while now, and seeing if I can notice the signs if there are any to be spotted. Pari's character is overt, so it's easy to take note.

However seeing it as an adult, a lot of the comedy is juvenile.
