I work at an electric motor reman center. Specifically, on the armatures. I was taught the very basics of how to turn them on a lathe, replace the shafts, test and balance, etc. The guy that trained me knew the "how" of things but never could really explain the "why" of it all. Thank you for giving me a better understanding of armatures, my friend.

Great. I managed to locate the com/segments, that were not functioning properly. I more tighten the field winding contact to the segments and a little solder. All other tests = pass. Thank you..

This is the best explanation of the internal construction of armatures! I already knew how to perform those tests but didn't really understood why. Now it's a whole different level, it'll muck easier next time because I'll know exactly what I'm doing. Thank you my friend.

What this armature is same as mixer grinder or note both are same test method please reply
@HaseebElectronics3 жыл бұрын
armature have same method for testing it depends on number of segments of the commutator and number of carbon brushes most common configuration is 2 brushes but every armature have similar structure.
