Yes, I was going to ask the same question. Why a 27 ohm at the gate, sometimes a 10 ohm, sometimes 100 ohms. Some have a pull down resistor some do not. What about push pull or H bridge? If you don't shut off the gates at the right moment, you ruin the mosfet or device. Great question!

@W1RMD basically gate resistance are low value resistance. Depending upon its internal capacitance. So you get a different type of resistance.

Great video, as always. It would be nice to make video on TL494 which is classic voltage mode controller, used in so many S.M.P.Ss. Especially it's error amplifiers, soft start (dead time pin) e.t.c. I even have used it for dc motor speed control, for the motor had tachogenerator who's output voltage is proportional to the shaft speed. Motor was from satellite antena dish servo positioning drive.

Hello master Haseeb. Thx for you informative video. Can you explain what happens if we have a short on the schottky diode on the coil's output? Yesterday i shorted by mistake the Double schottky diode and the PWM IC exploded, the Mosfet shorted out with it a bounch of resistors and 1 diode on the PWM side. What happend there? Why the coil generated a short on the PWM and Mosfet, if the output diode shorted? Did i get the 320v on the PWM? Pls explain me, thank you again for your work!
