remember when they tried to rework riven? fans weren't to happy so now, this is the riven rework, but because they can't touch the actual riven, they decided to delete aatrox and replace him with this riven rework, it took some time because they also had to remake the model of the character. My argument was that old Aatrox was aids to play against because his damage is based on autoattacking and he's stupidly good at sticking onto enemies. New Aatrox's whole damage is based on his Q that can be dodged very easily, unlike the old aatrox who could only be countered if you built a thornmail. Also new Aatrox isn't even bad.

annoying, but completely right, i never really liked aatroxs playstyle, it wasnt my thing, but they completely changed evrything about him. Galio still plays as a somewhat teambased magic tank, swain still plays and a health drain battlemage, evelynn is still a jungle assassin based on semi permastealth,even ryze in every iteration is a combo/reset based mage of some sort. Aatrox is so unbelievably different it is like a different champ, turning from an auto attack based drain tank into some sort of convoluted darkin riven and that really sucks

I haven't played the new aatrox but in my opinion this aatrox might be better for players who haven't used him. This new Aatrox lost his former self, it's lost itself seriously...to me it looks like riven 2.0. I mained him because of his demonic look and his badass skillset, have been my reason of playing lol, like seriously i played him since i was at lvl 15 and that was 3 yrs ago... i also played his tweaked version the pre rework version that destroyed him and also the reason i dropped the game. I have been hoping for them to fix him but they gave me this... THIS.

Okay, here we go. Aatrox needed a quality of life rework (and arguably a visual one), but not a full gameplay one. With that, how does this sound (head's up, wall of text incoming): *Passive -- Blood Well* Stays unchanged. That was good, that can stay. *Q -- Blades of Torment* *ACTIVE:* Aatrox unleashes two blades that converge to the target point and fan beyond it up to maximum range, each dealing _35/60/85/110/135 (+ 60% bonus AD)_ physical damage to enemies they pass through. Each blade will fill 10% of Aatrox's _Blood Well_ if they damage at least one enemy. _(9/8/7/6/5 second cooldown)_ _Notes: The "converge and fan out" component functions exactly like Heimerdinger's W, making landing both blades much easier. The blades also move much faster, making this a better skillshot-poke ability._ *W -- Blood Thirst* *ACTIVE:* Aatrox's next basic attack within 7 seconds strikes twice. Each strike deals _5/15/25/35/45 (+ 75% AD)_ physical damage and applies on-hit effects. The second strike also marks his target with _Blood Thirst_ for up to 6 seconds. The mark charges over 1.5 seconds. Once fully-charged, Aatrox's next basic attack or ability against the marked target will rupture _Blood Thirst,_ dealing _10/20/30/40/50 (+ 100% AP) (+ 6/8/10/12/14% of target's max. health)_ bonus magic damage, healing Aatrox for 15% of the damage dealt and filling 20% of his _Blood Well. Blood Thirst_ resets Aatrox's auto-attack timer. _(14/13/12/11/10 second cooldown)_ _Notes: The empowered attack functions like Yi's passive, and was done to cement on-hit builds with BotRK/Guinsoo's/Titanic Hydra, which Aatrox was known for. The 1.0 AP scaling also acts as incentive for AP builds, which I feel added a lot of character to Aatrox._ *E -- Dark Flight* *FIRST CAST:* Aatrox takes flight, becoming _untargettable_ for up to 1.25 seconds. After 0.75 seconds, _Dark Flight_ can be re-activated, and automatically does so after 1.25 seconds. *SECOND CAST:* Aatrox dashes to the target location, dealing _70/120/170/220/270 (+ 120% bonus AD)_ physical damage to all enemies in an area and slowing them by 60% for 1.5 seconds. Enemies caught in the landing zone's epicenter are knocked up for 1 second and are stunned for 1.5 seconds instead of slowed. Aatrox fills 10% of his Blood Well for every enemy champion he damages, or if he damages at least one non-champion. _(18/16/14/12/10 second cooldown)_ _Notes: Think of an AD version of Fizz's E and you basically have this. Has a relatively short cooldown as far as defensive abilities go, but considering Aatrox is a sustain bruiser who wants to stay in the fight, this was intentional._ *R -- Massacre* *ACTIVE:* Aatrox draws in the blood of his foes, dealing _150/300/450 (+ 100% bonus AD) (+ 90% AP)_ magic damage to all nearby enemies, pulling them up to 225 units towards his location and stunning them for 0.75 seconds. Additionally, for the next 12 seconds Aatrox gains 225 bonus attack range and _40/50/60%_ bonus attack speed. While active, champion takedowns will extend the duration of _Massacre_ by 4 seconds, up to a maximum of 12 seconds. _(110/90/70 second cooldown)_ _Notes: Basically his old Ulti but with a few bells and whistles to make him an engage monster -- Aatrox wants to get in fights and stay in fights, and this new Ulti is designed to reflect that. Base damage is up and the inclusion of a bonus AD scaling is further incentive to build him on-hit._

Okay, I can't lie here- that sounds super broken. 14% max hp? Absurd Scalings? This would be pick/ban. I honestly feel that aatrox needed a rework because when he's good(like rn) he just steamrolls you with high numbers and nigh-immortality, and when he's bad, he loses 1v1's to janna. But the fact that a melee champion can kite with autoattacks? That's not ok. It's a unhealthy concept in general. There are a lot of other champions like this, but just think about it- a melee kiting AA bruiser. Those words just shouldn't be together. Like "rapid fire combo waveclear burst mage(ryze)", who has definitely been a problem in the game, which is why he's needed so may reworks. And to prevent aatrox from becoming another ryze, he needs a overhaul.

_(This is going to be a pretty long-winded response, but I really want to lay out my mindset behind everything, so I hope you'll indulge me)_ Fair enough. All you'd have to do to remove AA kiting is just take away the extra auto range. Yeah it was a pretty unique trait, but it's something that Aatrox can live without. My version of his W... May be a bit extreme looking back, though my logic was for it to finish his trades: His bread-and-butter combo is E --> Auto --> W, wait for the mark to charge --> Q or auto to finish off, at which point you've exhausted all of your abilities and are waiting for the next trade. Though at the same time you're right, a straight 14% at rank 5 is pretty high. The simple fix here is to just lower the numbers, say: _4 / 4.5 / 5 / 5.5 / 6% (+ 5% per 100 bonus AD)_ As for his scaling, it's actually not out-of-place for bruisers, with the obvious exception of the high AP ratios. To put into perspective, Kled's Q has a 1.8 bonus AD ratio on a 90 - 390 base (assuming both parts hit) and Kayn's W has a 1.3 bonus AD ratio on a 70 - 270 base. One of the possible fixes here is to lower the ratios but change them to total AD, e.g. his Q would go from 60% bonus AD to 40% total AD. After all, high bonus AD ratios are generally the territory of the more tanky bruisers who want to be building Black Cleaver and Titanic, whereas by contrast Aatrox is an on-hit bruiser who wants a lot of damage values that he can pump into his basic attacks. Anyways, moving on. My logic with the AP ratios is that you generally won't be getting _that much_ AP with an on-hit build. Assuming BotRK/Guinsoo's/Nashor's are your core items, you're only getting an extra 105 damage on your W (121 if Guinsoo's is fully stacked) and an extra 95 on your Ulti (109 w/t stacked Guinsoo's), which naturally is where the on-hit damage comes into play. A dedicated on-hit bruiser isn't something we really have, and Aatrox was one of the few who could genuinely make it work. My goal was to reflect this -- I don't want _every_ new bruiser to just be another Trinity Force/Titanic/Sterak's user.

is it odd that i compare Aatrox to Zero? Living sword that's jagged and can extend, has a transformation. To me Aatrox was basically a red Zero.

Guys I'm not saying those to argue with anyone but Riot were working on the Aatrox rework,since maybe 1 or 2 years? And maybe is normal that they rework a champion when is rarely(or better say almost never picked) picked to make it better for players and more original abilities than simply just uses to abilities to drop like a terrorist an then destroying your right-click like a madman.At least it's what I think of Riot(Unless they want to make the world burn)

Even Kindred needs a rework right now, and by "rework" I mean reverting the passive to what it was before, and getting rid of that pathetic ultimate with no practical way of using when your team is behind. Oh but the stacks were too powerful when the player was a good Kindred, right Riot? And that would be too harsh on casual players amirite? No one likes to be oneshot by a player just because they're... good at the game (???). Maybe they spent more than 1k hours on a champion with more than 600k mastery *BUT HEY*, who cares? Let's just keep the champion as useless as possible and forget that it exists. Let her be just like Urgot, good damage and creative design, but high risk low reward, so no one is going to play her and we can move on to the next champion. Shit company.

Yeah they completly changed his kit and i feel like they could made feel look more baddass its pretty frustrating I tried and he was pretty fun, but i will still and forever miss old aatrox
