Fun fact: I have a made up disease similar to hanahaki disease inspired by it! The Hanakao disease (a mix of the words for ‘Flower’ and ‘Face’) Danger: Deadly Cure: None How it works: it is originally called a KaoSodatsu plant (a mix of the works for ‘Face’ and ‘grow’) before it gains a victim. The plant disguises as a normal flower, and if someone gets a whiff of it, they become the victim. That next spring flower will burst from the victim’s left eye socket and around the victim’s right eye. These flowers will wilt during winter and return stronger in the next cycle. This continues until either the victim dies of blood loss, pain, nerve destruction, or kill themself. Flowers will also grow from the victim’s hair and wrists during this time. Eventually, once the victims dies, the flowers will grow from all over the victim’s body, going from the head down. Once the body is fully taken over by the flowers, the vines will manoeuvre the body to the closest blooming KaoSodatsu plant and leave it there to provide nutrients to it. It is quite rare, and that is why there is no cure for it. It is able to transfer between siblings in a way that the sibling will not die from it, but still experience the symptoms. This is called the HanaSodatsu disease (a mix of the words for ‘Flower’ and ‘Grow’) but it doesn’t pass through parents or children. :D I’ve got a few ocs with it (If you’ve ever seen my channel, Loli had the Hanakao disease (she’s dead currently) and Lex has the HanaSodatsu disease)

Just a story line i thought of when writing this😅
