i feel when it comes to hashira reacting to obanai or mitsuri they don't usually put the fight w nakime,and tbh i see why bc unlike most of the other fights(which i'll show below) they don't have personal beef w nakime-it's just a random uppermoon that they have to fight here are the battle connections: kokushibo vs mui and others(they don't rly matter that much in terms of connections) - mui is the descendant of kokushibo douma vs shinobu,kanao and inosuke - shinobu's older sister and kanao's adoptive sister died at the hands of douma,same with inosuke's mother akaza vs giyuu and tanjiro - kyojuro was killed by akaza nakime vs yushiro,mitsuri and obanai - nothing kaigaku vs zenitsu - joint successors of former hashira,who committed sewer slide bc kaigaku turned into a demon but the nakime battle was one of the main reasons of defeat bc otherwise the sun wouldn't get to muzan so i also understand what you mean
