“Why didn’t you stop me?” Makes me think of Tomioka being angry/resentful/sad about Urokudaki sending them to final selection, knowing that they will most likely die. So if we interpret it more as “Why didn’t you stop *us* ?” It would make more sense. If you change “You know me better than I do” can also be switched to “You know it better than we do”, referring to the demon, Sabito and Giyuu respectively. (This is not criticism, I just really like to study and interpret stuff lol)
