Tbh I feel like Kokushibo should have won this fight no matter how you look at it. It took them so long to shred his kimono they shouldn’t have stood a chance decapitating him. Obviously he would have lived if he hadn’t halted his regeneration, I think it would’ve been a better ending to have Kokushibo inherit the title of demon king and accept his evil tendencies. Where Muzan, the coward that he is, didn’t want to risk losing the war, so after that fight he told Kokushibo to stay off the battlefield.
