Thanks again. When I was a kid I had a friend that introduced me to music that was good. Now I'm grown up and friends are hard to come by. Most of my friends have passed away. I appreciate your love of music and desire to share selflessly.

Willy Wonka's Oriental opium dream in a Turkish seraglio. After being cooped up in that chocolate factory with just the Oompa Loompas you know he headed straight for the brothels in Brussels, raised hell at the 7th Veil, finally ending up as a bouncer at The Crazy Horse saloon in Paris, where he famously ejected an obstreperous John "Teflon Don" Gotti, and then, well, seemed to drop off the radar . . .

Great to listen! 🚀👽 After Klaus Schulze, Paul Haslinger is the next member of "Tangerine Dream" to have produced solo works & debuted with "Future Primitive". Swinging from extreme violence to extreme peace .. the album opens with ferocious percussion combined with a funky tempo, heavy metal riff & human screams .. the following track is a flute & vocal interlude,"Of Human Bondage", but then the power kicks in again as the beat of "Danc'In-D M'chine" jumbles human voices, heavy breathing and guitar riffs .. a smoother track follows again, "Urban Hypnotics", a dance shuffle sailed by loud samples & melodic patterns. Very exciting trip, I was happy to come along .. 💃✌😎

Paul Haslinger originally hailed from Austria. As part of Tangerine Dream, he visited Los Angeles when the group toured the US for "Underwater Sunlight". Although a skilled multi-instrumentalist, he is one of the few members of Tangerine Dream that focused on percussion. He relocated to LA from Austria in 1991. Fun Fact: He never really hit 'mainstream' as a performing artist, but is well known for his film scores, getting his start as a drum programmer for producer Graeme Revell.

Outstanding! A cool record...and the debut of Haslinger! Another evidence of TD members abilities! Reminds me some world music albums in the nineties...he is really good! 😎☝️

What is this genre called? It's vaguely industrial but has a lot of world music elements. it even gets ambient at times

Thank you! He did only a couple world music albums - but they still set the standard.

Fantastic album loved it by Haslinger ever since it came out in October 1994 as his Debut. Inspired by Los Angeles his home. Why is Nomads in the Age of Wireless one of the best tracks missed off? and the end track, incomplete why 😓 🙂
