I’d have the owners stand there and watch what the poor thing has to go through to get that matting off. Maybe they think it shaves off easily. I agree that it’s ridiculous that they don’t take better care of their pet. All they have to do is brush her regularly to avoid the matting. If they don’t want her then let someone else have her!

Omg when I saw this video about you helping these fur babies. I was crying when I saw this. My vet charged me $1,000 dollars to have my pit my baby my heart she’s my everything baby girl Kiki fixed. My son has a pit as well name King. I had to go to San Diego for my oldest son and my daughter in love birth of my grandson my family is military. My son had to returned back to his ship. My daughter in love had C-Section so I was there to help out my family and they already has a daughter she was in 2nd grade. Two months later I come back home. I was like what in the world Kiki is pregnant I was so upset because that’s why I got fixed as I thought. 3 days later KiKi had a litter of 7 puppies one passed away. I took Kiki and her babies to vet for full check up had blood work on all 7 of them and I had the vet to cremated the lil puppy. My bill came up to little 6 thousand dollars. So I said to my vet I paid you one thousand to get Kiki fixed, so what happened she said something must have went wrong, I said it sure did you just kept my money and you didn’t do your job. So the vet doctor said I will give you 3 years of vet visit at no costs. Only if you don’t report me. I have the same vet and doctor for 4 years I never once ask her for any free visits. I know it cost to be the boss when to our fur babies. I said to her NO THANKS. I paid for that bill for that day and I asked in relaxed and calm voice can I have all of my dogs records please. I got myself a lawyer and sued her and the vet hospital they wanted to give me a settlement out the courts I told my lawyer no if they are trying to give me 2 hundred thousand dollars I can get more if we take it to courts. My lawyer said we are going to ask for 3 million. I got one dollar short from three million. This vet doctor had did 35 more fur babies as a patient and their families as well. The judge order for license to be taken and she can not do anything with fur babies and people. The judge ask the media to put these on the news to request for the 35 families to come forward so they can be accommodated pain and stuffing😭😭♥️♥️♥️♥️

I know you would have groomed this sweet dog for nothing if they had spoken to you. It is heart breaking to see her come back in this condition again. You know it's so wonderful to see your videos and what you do for a lot of these craters. Fat are so wonderful. I have a dog that was being neglected as a puppy. You just don't only like 2 and a 1/2 months and I'm gonna tell you. I spent a lot of money to take care of him. But, you know what cause he had a lot of issues, but he's doing okay now and he's gonna be 2 years old in May and I taken to a groomer's not too far away where I live and I've take him every 4 weeks, make sure that every. Being is taking care and I'm make sure that he's comfortable and he is very loved here by me and our cat Abby. And they get along really good, very close. Both of them are very close anyway. Thank you for sharing this video with us. Some people don't realize the trauma that it puts on this dog as I call them critters. This is just neglect severe neglecan you please? Let me know where I can find the link so I can send some stuff to you. I'm a senior and my heart goes out to what you do of loving and caring and being so loving to a lot of these. I started the video thinking I am lucky that I haven't had dogs with long enough fur that they needed grooming. Then I remembered I actually had two dogs with long fur. An Irish setter mix and a Golden retriever mix. Lots of fur! But we would just sit down in front of the tv every few days and brush them, take care of any mats that were starting, make sure their collars weren't tight, etc. No big deal! It was just a part of spending time with them. So I'm thinking this family doesn't spend much time with her. The poor girl is probably so sad and lonely.

I remember watching this way back and being upset and angry at her condition. I also remember being upset for you to. We know she will be in the same state by now and that Animal Welfare will have done nothing. In retrospect I would collect that cage of hair you removed from her and taken it to Animal welfare with you. Then back to the dogs owners, not in a bag or a box just all rolled together so they could actually see the extent of matting. Would they do this with their own hair... I think not. When you see cases like this we understand 'burnout' as a groomer... Bless you for helping this little sweetie

I think you’re doing the right thing by reporting them. They’re the type of people that never need to own a dog in the first place. It hurts my heart and I know it does yours to see this pretty little animal neglected. So go and report them and you’ll have all of your followers backing you up.

If you're not going to give the poor baby a haircut, then at least brush them regularly-- like daily!! Bathe them after brushing and keep it up. I know grooming can be expensive. I had my dogs groomer teach me what I needed to learn about everything. I still took her in 3 times a year for that special Miniature Schnauzer Cut. My baby got better and more patient with me the more consistent I was. Would you not bath or cut your child's hair regularly???

Wow 2yr crazy. And my mother has two dogs that need to be groomed on a regular basis, and she feels bad when they dont go but every 8 weeks. If you cant do what the dog needs like grooming and etc. Dont get those breeds that need high maintenance for grooming

Fish require a ton of work and attention to keep alive depending on the species. You have to make sure the tank is big enough, the oxygen levels are just right, monitor the temperature, make sure the species are compatible with each other, etc. There's so much misinformation out there about fish care, resulting in many fish living in poor conditions and people wondering why their aquatic pets are sick and dying. The same isn't true for dogs. There's more high quality accurate information available and so many more resources.

The fact that whoever owned this dog (and im hoping they don’t own this dog anymore and this pooch is in a much better place) sat here and probably pet this dog numerous times and didn’t stop to think, “hm this fur feels really matted” is just so infuriating to me. My sister has a yorkie and you can INSTANTLY feel when fur is about to start matting, so there’s no way these people didn’t feel this dog’s fur getting to this point. There’s no way you don’t know it’s happening. It’s literally as simple as buying a razor and shaving the dog yourself. Or.. don’t have a dog at all!! 🤯

Poor little girl. I just don't understand why people have a dog if they cant take care of it. I was a Mom of 3 kids. When I got a divorce I got the kids and the dogs, one of which was a Canadian spits. I couldn't afford to go to a groomer or even clippers. She got a bath at least once a month. I brushed her every other day even when I had 2 jobs. I had scissors and cut her hair in the summer because of the heat. I loved both my dogs and didn't want to give them away. Once a year they went to the vet for shots. There is no excuse for this type of abuse!
