i totally agree! my solo first trip ever was to muslim country in 2018. blew my MIND. this particular trip was about giving my mom that same experience and changing her preconceived notions about particular groups of people (something i’ve known for a long time). being from a small bubble in the middle of the usa only exposes you to corrupt and WRONG media, the only way to learn the truth is to seek out new perspectives.

The problem with Marrakesh is that it's very touristy, so when the vendors see tourists, they see $$$$, that's why you have to be on your guard. Think of it as Times Square in New York. Other cities like Tangier, Rabat and Agadir have a completely different atmosphere. The vendors are not pushy, much calmer. All in all, just like the states, each city has its own vibe.
