If the 5 minute medical rest rule had been in place at the time, Gedov would have lost the match long before the 6 minutes were up. Hasan deserved to win that match and has proven this again in the last eight years by defeating all his Russian rivals.

My countryman won at the final, but my entire focus after the match and during the medal ceremony, was on the Iranian guy. His aura is just something else. Our guy might have become champion, however Yazdani is a champion amongst champions.

If brooks uses the underhook against yazdani I don’t think he’s gonna win… he has to wrestle him like he wrestled Taylor if he’s gonna win, imo he can’t rely too much on that underhook or he will lose against the best underhook user in the world.

Wrestling is a school. The prodigies are those who are abstemious, industrious, concentrated on their sacred cause. They are the ones who go beyond their egos, those who never want their hand to be raised at any price. Deep inside, they have an untamed beast. They do feel anger, fear, despair, even much much much more intense than regular people or even regular wrestlers. Then again, they know how to leash the inner monster, which is called "nafs" in Iranian culture. Pahlavan Yazsani has proved to be one of those elites. His Russian opponent, Mr. Ramadhanov got the golden medal, whom I would like to congratulate him on this achievement. Mr. Yazdani's silver is as precious as golden medal.
