This is what a jazz band sounds like. I know it's been said, but wow. Impressive.

Could Coltrane have imagined that his music would have such a strong influence on jazz musicians almost 50 years after his death? Where to now, Saint John???

This is how music is supposed to be - live, communicative and straight from the heart.
@OddMeeter12 жыл бұрын
So does Bob Sheppard, who in fact is a more experienced musician than even Rogers is. And Hass' interaction with both of them is just incredible. Hamilton Price is rock solid. The whole quartet is just brilliant.

What a session! I was mesmerized for the whole ride. I am going to replay this now
@Jazman194213 жыл бұрын
These guys are really making music. I love hearing jazz standards played by high level musicians because it's music that I'm familiar with and I can relate to their choices in relation to the tune. Hass is quite simply one of the greatest all around drummers in the world, as Adam is on the guitar. Both play all styles as well as they play jazz. It knocks me out.

Jeff Putterman as a matter of fact I did ask them. By the way -- the drummer in this video is tapping his foot quite a bit (rim shot...)

Watch out. Adam has rabid supporters, who remind me of jock supporters. They will attack you for telling the truth.
@NotYourTypicalNegro10 жыл бұрын
Claymor are you talking about Bob Sheppard or Adam Rogers? In either case, they both solo for six minutes a piece. That's a lot of time, so yes they might repeat some phrasing. But then again, it could be intentional to resolve the solo in the manner close to how they started. Anyway, it doesn't matter because they both sound great.

why are you apologizing? You don't have to like it. I don't see why you would go out of your way to embarrass yourself though. This opinion only proves you know nothing about highly regarded and well played music. This is jazz played as well as it can be played. Next time, just say you don't like it to yourself and don't post it publicly. Only makes you look ignorant to what good music actually is.
