Hi. Excellent lesson. I faced the need to replace the seals and the mirror cushion. I couldn't find ready-made kits anywhere. They only sell mats that need to be cut to the right size. What thickness of gaskets do you use to repair the box?

a great repair video, but a warning, like clock barrel springs even when broken, they have extensive potential energy still stored in them!, so.... use a barrel winder, or special winding tool to de-energise the energy safely, even with safety goggles on, it can still whack you in the face!- and if you can don't cock the spring, as this adds even more power to the system.

No lubrication of the spring/box ?

Your aux shutter spring is not very strong. If you find yourself faced with a much stronger spring try installing it from the outside in. I wanted to get a barrel winder but they don't stock them at my local Home Depot.
