Hastinapur was the kingdom of Kuru dynasty. Both Pandavas and Kauravas were residing here in this city learning from Dronacharya. Even Dushyant and Bharat were the kings of Hastinapur. Vedavyas, the author of Mahabharat, teaches us about the life. He narrates the story to teach us how to live and what should not be done for a happier life.
The major places to see related to Mahabharat are:
Vidur ka tila, Pandav tila, Draupadi ghat, Karna Mandir, Jayanti Mata Shaktipeeth, Pandaveshwar Mahadev Mandir.
Apart from these are many Jain temples came later.
