I've been using Pautzke salmon eggs since about 1981. I've caught many fish in Hat Creek with the salmon eggs. I started going up to Hat Creek about the same time. Been fishing there every year since. I use 2lb test later in the year when the water flow diminishes

Nice fishing! One thing I've noticed about planters is they're very heavily spotted whereas wild fish loose the spots towards the belly and the face.

Old Station, Ca has amazing fishing spots at Cave Campsite that hat creek runs into! If you follow it down stream from Cave Camp you’ll get to Burney falls / Castle also has massive trout. Enjoy 👍

Hahahaha I always out fish any fly fisherman I’m ever around. Thing is I actually use some hand tied jigs and flies but never on a fly rod. One time I was shad fishing and I literally was catching 10 fish to everyone that three fly guys were able to land and I heard them say amongst themselves that they were going to bring the spinning year the next day!! Lol

We sure did. And we've caught massive salmon, huge halibut, big bass, kokanee and everything else. Stocked trout in a huge thing in California. Thanks for watching - and stay positive!

Bro look, I do generally fish with artificials and CnR most of what I catch but a tug is a tug! I admit a couple times a year I truck chase because I know of a couple places where they plant monster trout that are raised in ponds and actually have pink meat but I still fish with artificials for them just to get some tug on my line. The tug is my drug man!
@outdoorsanimalsandmusic30142 жыл бұрын
People could be doing a lot worse things than fishing in a stream with salmon eggs! You sound like some crotchety old man who hates everyone.
@single94supra5 жыл бұрын
Why dont you stop trying to tell the ones catching the fish how to fish? Thats so annoying to know what you are doing and to have someone over your shoulder "take your time, thats a big fish, take your time" Let the people fish ffs
