Hat Films jewellery when? Don't forget, email hatchat@hat-films.com if you have any stories/want to suggest topics for them to talk about. Or if you want to just add to the spam.

how come i kind of love that idea.. i'd be way more likely to buy jewelry merch than hoodies, mugs, posters, or keychains. but that's just where my interests lie :D

So for the record I keep trying to post a comment spoofing on the emails here, and the dialogue is SO ROBOTIC that my KZbin appears to delete the comment before it ever posts. Excellent marketing technique 10/10.

haha yeah it reminds me of when my mum once answered one of those "we're here to talk about your recent car accident" calls, and cause she was already in a bad mood she just replied "it wasn't an accident, I was aiming for that old witch" 😂

I do not know what is more hilarious, the idea that they most likely got most of these to hat gaming or the fact that the jobber from Raid didn't have a laughing fit when Ross casually asked for the gross GDP of an industrial nation.

700 quid for 2 hours of work...
@JoeyMarshall3 жыл бұрын
Split between 3 people, remember. £233.33 is still over £100 per hour each but you have to consider the reputational damage you incur by playing some of this garbage. You'd easily lose over 700 due to it.

@@KyleDevy and then lose thousands because of lost subscriptions BECAUSE of that "200" quid. Surely you see the issue?
@KyleDevy3 жыл бұрын
@@JoeyMarshall I think you're over exaggarateing. And what I'm saying has nothing to do with that. All I'm saying is that's alot of money for little work. You saying taking the money will hurt them in the future doesn't change the fact that's alot of money for 2 hours.
@JoeyMarshall3 жыл бұрын
@@KyleDevy If we're removing context then yes, I'd agree. Free from consequence, I'd take that deal in a heartbeat. As for me exaggerating, it's possible I might be overstating it a little bit but I really don't think by much if so. It's important to never forget how petty people on the internet can be.

Turning your nose up at £700 for two hours of work? Even split four ways between the three and an editor that's an amount of money that most working families would bite your hand off for. What really pisses in the cornflakes is it's to sit there and play a game for two hours.
@JayHayz3 жыл бұрын
Well personally I'd rather they didn't take the money and just played stuff they want to, that's still hours wasted when they could be doing something they know their audience would actually like... They're in the privileged position to say no to these trash sponsorships, and I prefer them being honest about it than taking the money and pretending they're still enjoying themselves.
@JoeyMarshall3 жыл бұрын
Responded to another guy with this piss-poor take. If you are interested purely in the business reason why you'd 'Turn you nose up at this'. It's because the reputational damage you take from your core audience from playing these shitty games FAR outweighs the relatively small amount of £700. In the perspective of a 'Working class family', imagine your boss says he'll give you £700 to do some menial task for 2 hours BUT most of your colleagues despise you for it afterwards and want nothing to do with you, going so far as to outwardly reject you moving forwards. It's also about knowing your worth, you don't chastise a footballer for playing for 200k a week since that is the value to the sponsors, so don't chastise internet influencers for expecting more money when these deals are worth THOUSANDS to the game in question. £700 is insulting for a lot of people and rightly so.
