Cause u can basicallu choose not to resolve bts and if ur opp choses not to resolve there monster its a infinite loop where the turn player would get a force to resolve b4 bts does

@@LegacyRetroFormats you can, Yamato still activates. Idk if that's the case with breakthrough skill though I'd need to read the exact text but it absolutely works against effect veiler.

@@LegacyRetroFormats breakthrough skill does not negate until the end phase, it negates until the end of the turn. The end phase is still part of a turn, meaning the turn cannot end until the end phase does. This means that by the time the turn ends, the end phase also has. This is different to something like effect veiler which says negate until the end phase. Since it only says til end phase, once you’ve reached the end phase you can still perform the actions as veilers “period of negation” (for lack of a better term) has happened. That’s the difference between negating til the end phase and the end of the turn. Cards that just say until the end phase don’t apply to that end phase itself. Cards that say until the end of the turn still apply to the end phase. So if you veiler Yamato, it can search in EP. If you breakthrough skill it, it can’t.
