I love how honest and deep they are. Not afraid of talking about politics and speaking their mind. Their song is amazing and they deserved so much better but I'm happy it's not just an image, they defend those values and believe they can make the difference

yes, I love that he asked them - we cannot forget about Palestine being occupied and while I don't boycott Eurovision because I love Eurovision so much, it's not like I agree with Israel and having Hatari with so meaningful message towards world and a few other contestants that are deemed at least 'controversial' (have you hears about Bilal Hassani controversy?) - Bilal from France (Muslim gay wearing wigs and make up on stage), Mahmood singing about money ruling the world (Mahmood is half Egyptian and has a line in Arabic in his song)... it makes me a little bit better with myself because when you can't fight something from outside, be like a Trojan horse and fight from the inside

Instead, they frame it in their anti-populism, anti-capitalism world view ('the cage' from which we should escape).They are being smart about this.

It's a complicated situation with complicated ancient history, religious issues, lots of wars and killing on both sides. It's highly pretentious to visit a place for a day or watch a news broadcast from abroad and then tell everyone how you think they need to solve their problems.

Holy shit, this is really really deep for an ESC interview. They are super intelligent and have a musical mission. I love how Hatari is engaging with the situation in Gaza and beyond, instead of just "ignoring it for the sake of the eurovision hapoy bubble". Got to give William credit for always serving up the right questions and commentary to make the interviews engaging. Bravo on giving us the most honest and up-front interview from Matthias and Klemens to date. It's very interesting to have a peek at the boys' creative thinking processes and the story that they have weaved into their performance, although I do find it little bit unsettling that they decided to visit Hebron during the midst of the tension going on. But at the same time you can feel their real concern about the situation. I don't think any other Eurovision artist would go ahead with that. As much as I admire their humanitarian pursuits, I really hope Matti and Klemens stay safe.

I really love Will's interview with these guys. Great questions, and very respectful. The secret to this interview is that Will is intelligent enough to be in on the gag, but also not patronising. You can see in the last minute of this interview Matthias and Klemmens slip out of character, and are just being themselves, which shows the true talent of the interviewer. Excellent stuff.
