@Chloe Cho Had a dream where our house was turned into a SAW scenario, my family members and I were mutilated but we can still talk. The best thing was that we get to casually talk with the ghost perpetuators, and have ourselves "respawn" and choose a spot in the house to die. At one point I went for our garden waterway filled with big construction drills. I dived in that small spot and it transitioned into a rainy kayak down the hills of our neighborhood. It was fun, seriously. It was scary at first but the thought that idea that we can "noclip" throughout the house and talk with the ghosts was also hilarious for me. I had more dreams like it. I wish I cannot forget them all.

I'm going to take a guess at an interpretation. It's a hikikomori. His mom is always after him. His brother is away (at college) for a long time. He had fond memories of his brother, but after his brother returned his "dark side" won and his brother started to be hard on him too. His little sister is benign, just telling him what to do, and his dad is the rarely seen giant outside, occasionally peaking in the window. You can either leave at which point you become the monsters from before because you also become "normal" like them, or you go down the hatch which I consider to be a suicide allegory.
@jer82793 жыл бұрын
As good an interpretation as I've heard of this fever nightmare.
@emilchan53793 жыл бұрын
That's a good interpretation. Also fits in with how it is night all the time (the player character only leaves his room during the night, which is something hihikomoris tend to do). He is aware of people outside his house (neighbours and passerby), but doesn't think of interacting with them.

Adding onto this. About the game; I find it so hilarious that the ghost quite literally handed them the shampoo. No questions asked, no creepy thing done or said, just handed them the shampoo. Also the fact that Aniki went to go kill his ‘dark side’ only to be beaten to death is oddly funny because Aniki had the upper hand, a long weapon, but yet he was killed.
@dulceteternity99763 жыл бұрын
Adding onto this again! Its quite fascinating how Manly uses the uncovered parts of the game, uses the lack of coding in certain areas to his advantage & doesn't just run & run, instead finding a way to play it using the AI's detection sensors, using the lack of it & the direction of it. I watched someone else play this & they didn't even think of trying this for a second. So, in short this is pretty smart.

This game is deceptively good. Like, it looks like some cheap thoughtless 5 minute unity game, but has some cool scares and really spooky atmosphere
@Touma1349 ай бұрын
@@JohnZombi88think you're a bit too cynical. I'm not a zoomer but it was pretty decent for a short cheap horror game. Within context of the type of game it is. The intro itself where it shows how the monster got in via show don't tell puts it above most horror games as is. Shows some thought is put to it. The teleporting spider woman on the wall was a pretty good spook.

The one thing that got me about this game is the speed in which the crazy lady moves through the house. It's super quick, fast enough that it breaks the narrative. If you're trespassing in someone else's home, conventional logic says you'd slowly make your way around, while monitoring anything suspicious. I can see, say if the lady runs into the player, (or vice versa) her pursuing the player quickly and violently. But she's making her way around the place, fearlessly and quickly, like she's been there for 25 years.

The gigantic infantile looking "father"? being revealed to have followed you in the house as you see him watching you shut the bedroom door behind you genuinely startled me. This game reminded me of my days in the woods. I was living in a small wooden house (it was a challenge of some kind)and there were strange noises around it every night. I grabbed my crossbow and shot a bolt in the darkness. I heard a horrible scream and this thing never visited me again. Next morning my friend told me that I shot a methed-up burglar who even did her time in prison for murdering her sister. I didn't kill her, just got her in the leg. So, basically, there are literally humanoid monsters in our forrests.
