"We'll make sure Smith stops banging the table and disrupting the mics" Then Trott grabs Mochi and has her walk all over the table lol

It's funny you should describe that specific stair/spear scenario because in 2016 I was staying over at my ex boyfriends student house when I was at uni, and whilst we (me, him and his housemates) were out at the pub, their front door was kicked completely off the hinges and their laptops were robbed. The thieves left lots of really valuable stuff behind so we were convinced they were coming back and the police couldn't help/wouldn't do anything to prevent it at 1am, so me feeling very wise (and stoned) decided to duct tape a steak knife to a gold club, forming a make-shift, weighted scythe. Their front door led directly up a set of stairs to get into the house, so I sat at the top of them wielding my scythe and felt pretty invulnerable. I think most of the other guys took their stuff and stayed elsewhere and my ex passed out drunk on the sofa, leaving me to take matters into my own hands. It's a good job nobody came back because I was a very feeble 19 y/o girl and i could hardly hold the weight of the golf club, let alone single handedly fend off an actual gang.

The adadge in bladed combat is that the stab always beats the slash as you deliver far more and concentrated force with the former. As a result, yes... a spear is a considerably more effective weapon than any sword.

I keep a bat in my room for a home invasion scenario. I disagree with the spear in-doors, you have no space to turn around or use it. What happens when you have to turn around a corridor or pass through a door?

How do you train a bat to defend you in that situation tho?

"Most of life is pre-roll, if you get a bad circumstance just say 'I want to roll again'" This is the biggest issue, I think. Circumstances aside, there is a limit to how 'good' everybody's lives can be. If it becomes common to kill yourself because you're in a bad situation, there will be large parts of society continuously killing themselves because they aren't in a good situation. Society will collapse, especially with how current markets are set up. Current economies are kind of a zero-sum.
