"Like..... have you ever heard the sound of milk being sprayed from a cow's udders into a metal pail?" Smith's storytelling skills are bar none, holy crap that gave me one of those paralysing silent-laughs

Its actually pretty easy telling the difference between guys "fluids", most have a pretty different taste. A lot of it is due to diet.

Smith mentioned an ad free Hat chat for members, is that members here or does my membership on the main channel count?

Supermarket question - you want to first identify what can go off and pile that up in a store cupboard somewhere and never look at it again, then eat all the stuff that'll last You'll be stuck with a bunch of preserves, dried foods like biscuits, chocolate and sweets, rice and pasta, and obviously pet food. Maybe use some of the quick expire stuff to zhuzh up your pet foods and throw the odd 15 tablets in there I think Trotts stew idea is good, but it'll also stretch the stuff to last longer so you'll probably be eating pet food for longer that way. My question is, what is the bastard chef eating, that prick's getting deliveroo through the back door, so maybe the answer is to kill that fucker and escape through the back door The Chef is your JigSaw

I’m hoping we’re excluding food that has gone off. Working in retail I can say the food we have in fridges can at minimum last a couple days up to a couple months tops. Having a professional chef though who can make cat food and dog food taste good though is something I think possible, may not be the nicest meal but I can see them making it tolerable.

I think that would be part of the strategy; managing the supply so that you go through or freeze the food that will go bad the fastest. All that said, there's enough calories in an American grocery store (on average 300 million) that this challenge would take centuries for one person to complete, so maybe the strategy is to start composing the food you don't like and grow other things in the resulting soil.

I feel that potable water becomes a problem too. There are a lot less water products than food products, so eventually you are going to have to recycle water.

I weirdly get Smiths point about covid, I think in the long term, not enough changed. If the population dropped from 8 billion down to like 5, we'd be in a much better place in terms of jobs, money, resources, houses, health care and pollution. Not that I wanted more to die, it's obviously insane and fucked up, but if the worst came to the worst and like upwards of a billion people died, I think the world would be a better place in 15 years. You'd get over losing your weird creepy uncle if it meant the worlds pollution halved and there were loads of cheap housing and jobs freed up.
