Yowza, you've got some skill with that thing! I recently acquired a SOG "Voodoo Hawk Mini," though I've not used it too much (I'm always stealth-camping and chopping is a little too noisy-- though maybe I could get away with splitting as you did). Estwing has been around forever and they make good stuff! I'm glad you're happy with it! Great video, and I learned something-- I'll try to split wood as you did with my very-similar SOG. Thanks, Fleotus. Just the other day, I got on my bench grinder and removed a bunch of material off that blade. Should be a lot sharper, now. Cant wait to use it again.

Nice review mate! I try to steer clear of sharp things, but the info provided was great... btw if someone sold me a brand new axe and it was blunt... I would take it back.. more people would get injured trying to sharpen the bloody thing than injuries sustained from being sold a functioning axe..

I sharpened it. The broad side works a lot better now. I needed to practice my sharpening skills, and I didn’t pay that much for it. You gotta practice on something, I guess.
