For around 290 eur (in europe Amazon) you can get Beelink ser5 5560u which is soo much better that it is not even funny. And it is also silent with low power consumption. 8-10 w idle 40 W max (total) 16 W watching this video on 1080p full screen

Yep, that's why it's been a regular in my top 5 since it released 😊

Yup have that one as well, a real banger, on linux it is ridiculously fast, can't tell a difference to my main machine.

Just picked one up @ 2 Bills... After building for eon's... This is an interesting change. I seem to have a fan that moves enough air. Longevity remains to be seen. But, this is certainly interesting. Time to grab an AMD ryzen mini to Game like I would like. But, the N200 does really well considering all aspects on low/mid end games. Depending on your resolution, this is a great get your feet wet device for a mini PC.

For those that wonder, a 32GB DDR4 SODIMM appears to work just fine. I do like the idea of the integrated power supply, well, as long as it works. I also think that there are a number of cuts in hardware that make its predecessor, the EQ 12, a better machine for many purposes, including DDR4 vs DDR5, Dual gig vs dual 2.5G, although I do appreciate the second NVME slot, despite it being a bit slower. In my opinion, the EQ 13 runs, in my case, Linux Mint better than it does Windows. if you are looking for a router on a stick, you probably should pick up the EQ 12 while those are still available. All of the downgraded items on the EQ13 seems to be about saving money on the manufacturing side, so, I doubt that the EQ12 will be available for long. Beelink does not seem to be cutting costs to pass the savings along; it seems to be just to increase their margins. However, if you aren't looking at the network side, i.e. dual gig/2.5G network ports, well, there are better options in the same price range, i.e. other models to look at .

but noise wise the EQ13 is much better right?

Didn't the EQ12 come with DDR5, so another downgrade for the EQ13?
@Robtech4 ай бұрын
It did indeed. DDR5 adds a couple of percent to iGPU performance with the N100. Hopefully I'll get to find out what it does to the N200 someday.

When you kept saying Pentium I was thinking of the original. Heh. Interesting PC to say the least. Thanks for the review.

How does this compare with GEEKOM Mini Air12? Deciding between these and going to use your Amazon link. Thanks!

The N200 has slightly better graphics performance. Otherwise it comes down to price and ports. Both are good.

Dont you know is there any PC planing with new Ryzen 9 HX 370? I think it'll be very interesting option

There will be a bunch available from the usual brands.

35W gave those boosts? I wonder if we see another mini with N200 using 45 or even 65w? I guess DDR5 is the bigger bottleneck?
@Robtech4 ай бұрын
They're set at 25W by default. I haven't tested 1 watt increments, but judging by the power draw of multiple units, it looks like 27W might be the max turbo power limit.

I'm considering getting Beelink EQi12 for office work. It comes with 24GB DDR5. There are 3 cpu options. Is the 1220P cpu okay? Or better to spend the extra and get the i5 12450P or the i7 12650P? For work, I need to open and close many browser tabs for Zoho CRM. Do you this this EQ13 is faster for office work?
@Robtech2 ай бұрын
1220P is much faster than the N200.

It looks like a perfect base for a home automation server / router / own cloud, or a hypervisor to rule them all. But the price definitely should be cut.

Something just dawned on me: Maybe Rob's to blame for that internal PSU: Now that many PSU's for minis are smaller (GAN, I'm guessing), he always points out how much he dislikes the big heavy ones when they are provided instead. This may be a case of being careful what you ask for: They've shrunk the power brick out of existence on this unit and now anyone considering this has to worry about replacing it if it fails.... Just sayin'...

I wonder when the new mini pc with Ryzen ai chips coming out? This honestly looks good enough for daily office use.

Laptops with them just launched. Usually takes a couple months to show up in minis.

Interesting review, of an interesting unit. It looks nice and manages to cool well, and I don't think it can be faulted for the lack of TB/USB4 at this price range. Trivial as though it seems, it's nice to see the power button no longer be ugly version of red. The dual 2280 drives capability is nice, though it seems odd to me that they opted to give the SATA OS drive 4 lanes and the nvme-only second slot 1 lane. It would seem that the secondary drive would be better off as the 1 lane and the OS the 4 lane. Still, that seems like a good deal for the price, though unless I only expected to use this for a couple of years, that built-in PSU just seems like a bad experience waiting to happen, should it fail. At least a big, clunky external brick can be easily switched out.

A Serpent Canyon doorstop with 11K TimeSpy and 18K Cinebench R23-points 🤡😹. The integrated GPU is identical to the desktop-16GB variant, only running with 2050MHz boost at 120W. $700.
