Godi media is the scum of the media landscape. When he says that journalists have to speak the truth, his very short memory forgets those languishing in jails for merely speaking the truth. Modi hate is not a business, because a corrupt autocrat who had a two-tiered legal system - one for himself and those sycophants singing his praises, and another for those who questioned him - cannot but be a derisive figure. A man declaring himself as some divine nonsense, invites the worst of regard from those who aren't dumb or brainwashed. I hope India recovers from the tatters of its journalistic ruins it finds itself in. However, the proposed changes to the criminal law as of July 1st sound far from reassuring. For India to expunge itself from traces of the devastation that Modi was and is would only be the start of its recovery process.
