This guy is the most reapectful person I've seen. Kenknows calls himself a hater sometimes but it's obvious that the things he "hates" he doesn't actually hate that much. He has immense patience for people's bullshit, and clears things up all the time. If you're confused about something in his comments, he'll come in and talk to you. He's legitimately great.

It's insane how normalized hate raids have been targeted at us black content creators/streamers. Mad respect to Ken for dealing with this as professionally as he does, but no one should ever have to go through this under any circumstance. Never understood why people felt the need to publicly announce their dislike for something/someone; no one's forcing you to like it, & it just makes you come across as rude.

Its disgusting behaviour that shouldn't be tolerated. But I wonder if education is the better thing here than blind anger? I've seen kids show a more positive attitude to others than adults. I still remember two sweet little black kids who waited for me to pull into a driveway (this was before the highway code change granting pedestrians priority at junctions and such). And I remember them for their kindness. Kindness is free! And we all like free things right?

education is necessary but it doesn't help when the education system itself teaches racism and the government behind it continues to act in racist ways (e.g. medical textbooks saying Black people have a "higher pain tolerance," police brutality against BIPOC, etc). we need people to act for structural change to be able to institute an education system that truly fights against racist ideology.

Kindness can only go so far, while anger can definitely cause bigots to just dig in their heels further, we have to remember that no amount of education and empathy can *compel* them to change. At the end of the day, that’s their own prerogative, and racism itself is rooted in ignorance (a lot of which is willful), if people aren’t willing to change then nothing can make it happen

This is insane. I honestly hate internet culture sometimes. I feel like this wouldn’t have happened if that one guy didn’t speak up about the racist things he did. Not because he shouldn’t have apologized, but because kids on the internet who had never even heard of what he had done, now decided that since he got away with it, and his team even got their own banner in the game, that they’re allowed to do it, too. I’m seeing a larger number of people with suspicious or overtly racist names (etc) in game recently.
