I am still struggling with booze though. But after hearing the new Ramallah album and watching this video, I've decided that I have the strength to crawl and scrape my way outta this abyss. I have to though because giving up isn't an option. I just lost my best friend like 2 years ago from suicide and I promised myself I won't ever go out that way... R.I.P Jeff "Worm" Wilson

Went to my first hardcore show back in '99 when I was 14. The lineup was Blood for Blood, Dropkick Murphy's and Anti Flag (who dropped off the tour because they were getting bottles thrown at them haha) with my friend's band The Elderly opening. Original lineup with Rob, Buddha, Ian, and Mike. Got kicked in the face during the intro, blood pouring from my nose and lip, watching the crowd which was basically a giant fight. Good times and great memories!

When you think that they can never get a decent sound recording like that at Wacken, despite all the expensive gear and the fact that there aren't 5000 rabid gorillas storming the stage, it just shows that punk's not dead and metal has become kinda borrrrrrrring :D. Only in the Trump era can a hardcore singer say “Fuck nazis”, and someone in the comments has a problem with it.
@JohnBender13133 жыл бұрын
I dont see the comment here. But they are probably sick of the words over usage and subsequent hypocrisy when ,say, a band like "Hatebreed"s lyrics, can be looked at as extremely fascistic now. Traditionalism, personal responsibility, chauvanism, self pride, and faith are more commonly associated with nazism during the Trump era, despite being mild conservative beliefs. Which are also closer to Trump than actual fascism/nazism is. The lines are being blurred and people are pissed about the gaslighting. Not to mention B4B have sang and critsized liberals and media, while also expressing desires to gain revenge on society, to spit in their faces, taking back what their owed, and seeking the ability to capitalize on their merits. This would also be considered Nazish by todays standards. So its sad to see these guys, and many modern rock/metal/punk groups, selling out their principles for narratives of people who want them removed from society... again. Maybe the fame screwed their judgement. But they are no longer speaking to the little guy. They are speaking to corporate, media, an academic hegemony. They are supporting a status quo that hates us.
@JohnBender13133 жыл бұрын
I mean, read this: I tried to love but I've grown so empty inside I tried to love until something inside me died I try to live with this hatred inside I hide I close my eyes as I lose my fuckin' mind I look back upon the days that have gone My wasted youth all the shit that's gone wrong with me I see the world slowly slipping away My silent scream goes unheard every fucking day With all my soul I never wished it to be this way I've lost my faith but I fall to my knees and pray I rot away in this world not meant for me And thoughts of murder are the only salvation for me I walk the streets this violence grows inside me The people's faces I see I want to make them explode I want to take back from them what they've crushed out of me I want my soul my youth my faith my life and the love I can't see These scars that poisoned my soul they just continue to bleed I feel this rage this hatred it's killing me The days go on with no end This violence inside me grows I feel the end's coming soon but I won't go alone I hear it I know you won't believe it Voices in me that makes me paranoid There it is do you hear it I know that I'm not crazy But day after day I lose my sanity My life I've always been alone I've always been alone There's nothing left of me The game is over the game is over for me I'm left without a soul My life is over, what's goin on Why why must I cry Why why must I die alone No love left inside My kindness has give way to an endless barrage of emotional scars No love left in my heart I've been dead since my innocence faded away Why why must it be this way I ask myself this question each and everyday My anger runs out of control This sounds like Mien Kampf. Have you ever read it? It is also very close to one of the tenants of fascism under the new modern standards? Which is loss of identity and loss of faith in society. Many people would say music like this creates nazis and domestic terrorists like those of 1/6. I dont believe that. But the niavety on these guys part(or possibly virtue signalling) when they are now the enemy they are fighting against is mind numbing.
