This statement is so ignorant. From my experiences, which spans 33 years in HC culture (went to my 1st show when I was 12, still go to shows, and get in the pit, you do the math) the scene is the best it's ever been. The "kids" in the scene these days have a better sense of unity and love for one another, then my scene had when I was a kid. It's incredibly narrow minded to talk down on a scene, that you've probably not experienced in a minute, simply because you disagree with how they celebrate THEIR scene... the scenes like the ones you grew up in, got it wrong. Bullying kids because you disagreed with how they were expressing themselves should've never been the way. I applaud the new school for what they're doing. You may have not ever realized it but if you were at a show and didn't like what was going on around you, you could just move, as opposed to looking for a reason to "check" someone.
